The staff was great! I can't think of a single issue during our stay.
I recommend getting a room. Our room was cozy and had a great views.
There's handicap parking to the left of the main entrance.
Multiple restaurants, restrooms, and two floors of gaming.
Remember that gambling is entertaining. Don't bring what you can't spend! Good luck getting those jackpots!!!
The casinos used to be a great place to enjoy your night. Now, they just feel depressing. And the buffet! It was horrible! They were out of so many things and what they did have tasted like cheap microwavable food. We went for the crab legs and boy were we disappointed. Seems like they hired random people off the street to manage the food without any supervision.
We brought our out-of-state relatives there remembering how great it was in the past. Now, it's not even a shadow of what it was in the past.
I had an awesome time at this casino tonight!! Watched a couple NFL games, ate some great tasting foods and met quite a few new people as well.. The Cajun Pasta salad was UNBELIEVABLE!!!! My plate got the attention of 4 other people at the bar who actually ordered and loved it as well. I brought a plate home for later.
The band in the stage 2 was awesome. Didn't get the name but I was there on 10/12/24 for my birthday.....Food was awesome. Everyone and everything was sooo nice! I'll b back.
We went down to see a concert and had dinner at the buffet. The food was very good along with service. The venue was really nice, and well organized. We had not been to this casino in many years and was very enjoyable evening. There were a lot of people in the casino and the concert was sold out. But it was handled very professionally and friendly!
If you're in the Tunica area I would highly recommend this casino & hotel.
Wow, this is waaaay out in the middle of nowhere!
The rooms were not super clean- but not so gross that I couldn't stay there. I definitely wouldn't put my feet on the floor without shoes though.
The casino is nice. It's large with plenty of games to choose from.
The Rise and Shine package is a JOKE though. Don't fall for it.
They will not honor it at the cafe, and they will be as ignorant as ignorant can get about it.
The hotel staff was separate Management from the Rise and Shine cafe- they were actually kind.
If you go here - I recommend staying far away from Rise and Shine ( next to Sweet Tea).
But in all honesty if we decide to come back to Tunica at all we will likely stay at Sam's Town. We stopped there to play at the casino and had a way better time.
They were the best Priceline deal. Check in was quick but was only offered a room at the far end of the hall. Room was nice enough but dated and lacked any premium channels.
What was really lacking was the casino. Plenty of newer slots but I prefer video poker. Found a bar with them and most were defective. Wouldn’t accept cash or tickets and if they did the play buttons didn’t work. Final ticket when I cashed out I got back $18.83 which shouldn’t have been possible on a $.25 machine. I showed it to the bartender and she just laughed and shrugged and walked off. It was only change so I didn’t make an issue but I didn’t trust ANY of their machines at this point.
I walked off too and took my money to the casino next door. Their machines are better maintained and the staff act like they care. It will be the last time I go to Gold Strike
You can win here ! Get up in the positive off of slots by 1000 or more. keep it and just gamble at the roulette after. You'll give it back IF NOT, and well if you want to give it back, go for it!
It's a fun time in the end, and it's one of those places you never want to hit the road, and leave in the rearview ,but you have to sometimes.
