The casino set up is inherently not family friendly, so a lot of this is not the hotel's fault. BUT if you're thinking about staying with kids, I thought I would share my experience here. We came for a family-friendly concert and decided to stay at the hotel as well. We popped down for a kid-friendly meal before the concert and it was a bit difficult to navigate with a kid. Children are (appropriately) not allowed on the gaming floor, but the restaurants are located all around the gaming floor, so you kinda have to go there and like NEVER let them out of your sight to go to the bathroom alone, down the escalator alone, anything. The burger place and pizza place in the food court were terribly understaffed, which created wait times of 30-40 minutes. The coffee shop was convenient but didn't have a lot of kid-friendly options. The room was lovely, except our shower faucet had a hard time holding the shower setting (vs bath setting) and there was no plug for the bath. Normally I wouldn't mention it, but for the rate, it seems like that kinda thing should be fixed. The pool was incredible and definitely the best part of the stay, although again not a super family friendly set up--doesn't open until 9am and the food not available until 11.
First time staying at this resort. It was very clean and nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool area was beautiful. My family and I had the best time there. You can order drinks and food poolside. The pool area has a big enough area for guests. Finally a resort that knows this! The fitness area was good. Lots of weights and machines. Could have used more treadmills, they only have 2. Gambling was fair but it’s gambling. It was nice to finally stay at a place since Covid where it’s really clean and the staff are so nice. From valet, to front desk to housekeeping everyone was wonderful. Would highly recommended.
Very nice casino, plenty of new machines, several great choices for food and drinks, and card games along with roulette staffed by actual employees! None of the artificial, machine based blackjack, roulette, or craps like some casinos use. Parking is always easy and plentiful, and lot as well as inside is kept clean and in good working order. If you carry a pocket knife I would advise leaving it in your car, security asked me to take my leatherman Multi tool out to my car, then later asked me to empty my pockets because they didn't believe I actually did it. Guard was just doing her job, but it was still somewhat off-putting. Still a great casino, and a fun way to spend time.
The drink servers do come around and takes your drink orders. But if you're drinking, Non
alcoholic beverages forget it!. She will take your order but never returns with it. They do have a self-service area with sodas and coffee. There are several new slot machines. But I'm a keno player only ????. Love their slogan "You do you," which I always do. Take a $100 to play win or lose. Then leave with my winnings ????
We had a very pleasant stay the hotel. The staff was attentive and professional. Our best experience was at the Business Center where we met Maria McElroy who helped us with our printing needs. She was courteous, professional and very friendly. Provided great customer service. She is a very good representative of the hotel.
Had a nice stay and everyone was friendly and accommodating.
But the shining star of our visit was Maria M. in the Business Center! She was so helpful throughout our stay and always going the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed. Thank you so much!
Honorable mention goes to Dawn, the pastry chef. The desserts were awesome. Yum
Stayed at the Wild Horse Pass Gila Resort for a birthday trip to Arizona. I really enjoyed the amenities and seclusion of the resort. I stayed on the Sunset Tower side which is the non renovated side of the hotel. The 2 queen bed room was very spacious and included a balcony with a view of the pool. I am not sure how many maintenance people it takes to fix a running toilet, but I think we saw a lot. Did not enjoy having to ask for a plug/stopper for the bathtub that did not work. However, despite the peeling ceiling in the bathroom, the running toilet my entire stay, and the loud screeching sound from opening the balcony door, I had a great time.
The heated pool and hot tub was amazing! Beds were comfortable, parking was convenient, and the front desk staff were so accommodating. I loved the complementary water to stay hydrated in Arizona. My favorite part was the amazing food being served at Ling & Louies. I can see myself staying here again but on the renovated side of the hotel.
I didn't stay at the venue as an overnight guest. That's why there is no room score.
I didn't gamble, although I walk around with a complementary no alcoholic beverage.
I attended a concert and the venue was perfect for people who love smaller functions. Every seat in the house would be a great seat. I was surprised with my seat. It was actually better than I expected however it was rather pricey. If you're on a budget, remember all seats have a great view.
In fact, the upper level could be considered better. If you had a tall person in front of you or people standing in the 100 section. It could block your view and camera. My seat was section 203, seat 13. It had a nice ledge to hold your beverage and/or purse.
