First time at this casino, so I decided to go to see what the Hype is all about. If you want to play, drink, and dance, this is a great spot, I think I happen to go on Latin night because that's what they mostly played. Now to play at the casino is all good and fun, but not enough machines to play, and bot to many machines to redeem your winnings. But all around I liked this spot, had a lot of fun.
Spent a fee hours there to try and play my luck. Won $55 after spending $20, then played the entire $55. Im not a gambler but every now and then, I try my hand hoping lady luck comes through ????. This casino is quite new and very clean. It was a scenic view driving there from South Mountain. Nonetheless, I enjoyed my time there despite not winning the jack pot ????????

I went with a couple of friends and we are all visually impaired. The staff in the I went with a couple of friends and we are all visually impaired. The players club staff helped us with getting registered and then they helped us get to the bingo hall.
Once we were in the bingo hall, the staff were great and helped us with getting set up and finding a place to sit.
Overall, this casino is great and the service is really good as well.
My wife received an invitation to get a Nine West purse every Sunday in May. The first two Sundays the lines have been horrendous, but the purses are cute. The giveaway is from 10 am - 7 pm. Today we arrived at 11:15 am. No lines at the kiosk. She went to print out her ticket and the message said was that $10 was added to her account. They had run out of purses in a little over an hour.|You would think that if the casino is sending out invitations, they would have enough purses to cover each invitation. This really stunk. She really wanted the one today. We’ll be there bright and early next week, but after that, she won’t be coming back. Wild Horse promotions are done with class. This was a mess
This was my first visit to a Gila River casino in 20+ years. A friend and I arrived at Vee Quiva around noon and the casino was practically empty. Any slot we wanted to play had open seats. We were starving though and set off to find food. Panda Express prices are double what I'd pay outside of a casino, so I ended up getting the fry bread with beans and cheese. The food was pretty good and had large portions. Then it was time to play. Vee Quiva isn't very big, but it does have a lot of good machines and most look new. They definitely have the most comfortable seating of any casino I've been to in the valley. I was very happy to find that the casino is non-smoking, as are almost all in/near the valley. I ended up losing all the money I brought, but my friend only lost 200. As the day wore on, more people arrived and the place was packed by dinner time. So, if you plan to go, eat first and get there early.
I had never been to this Casino before and had high hopes for my visit here. My friends and I were thoroughly enjoying the evening sitting at a table in the bar while our guys played out in the casino. The DJ was playing 90’s music and that’s our decade, when we hear it we dance! We had only had a couple of drinks. Apparently, the bar staff assumed we were “drunk” because we got approached by the head of the bar staff and security who said we were heard slurring our words, and after trying to explain to him that we are just dancing to the music and having fun. We were escorted out of the casino. The guy wouldn’t even let us talk, if he had let us talk he would have heard we were most definitely not slurring our words. Clearly he was on a power trip and he intentionally waited for my husband to walk away from the table to approach and intimidate us. We did absolutely nothing wrong to have warranted that kind of behavior from the staff and security at this casino. We were not bothering other patrons and we were staying in our own space and laughing and dancing, as were others around us! If you don’t want people to have fun and enjoy being here then why have a DJ? My husband spent 30 minutes trying to talk to the manager of the casino and they wouldn’t listen to him either. I mean it’s great that they fully back their staff (even if it’s at the detriment of the patron) but when they are wrong, they should admit it, and they were so wrong in this instance! When my friend tried to talk to hotel reception about getting a refund for her room (because who the hell would want to stay here after being treated like that), they told her they knew who she was and that she would not be getting a refund and that she must go to her room and was not allowed anywhere else in the hotel or casino the rest of the night! I guess once they have made up their minds about you, you are out. We were intimidated, humiliated and treated so poorly by the staff at this casino and hotel I can guarantee I will never be back to this or any of their other casinos again! Thanks for ruining what should have been a fun night out Vee Quiva!!
Too pricey for us. Rooms were $350+. The food was decent at the cafe but the other restaurant choices were limited. Nobody there smiled and looked unhappy. While on a getaway we like to feel welcomed. This place is cold and non inviting. I will give them a 2nd chance in the future.
We love VQ! The security is very friendly and those that remember us, always make sure to speak and the bartenders are great at remembering your drinks. All casinos have games to play but we look forward to the people /staff interactions
