Best WLM Reviews

The best of the best
what can I say if your looking for one of the best hotdogs and fry's in Chicago then this is your place. The prices are great also. Not much room to eat inside. Eat in your car recommend

Outstanding!
There are only a handful of places in Chicago that sell a REAL Chicago dog.
Okay, let me tell you that most people have been brainwashed into believing that a salad belongs on top of a hot dog. It’s simply a money making lie, kind of how Pizza Uno invented stuffed (deep dish), for tourists to make money.
Anyways, a real dog is just mustard, sport peppers, and onions. All that deliciousness should be put into a wrapper with fresh cut fries cooked in peanut oil.
This my friends is what Gene and Jude’s does and they do it to perfection.
They’ve been around a looong time and will most likely be around for a long time more.
The place is awesome, the vibe is old school Chicago. Lots of Cubs hats!
No seating, no bathroom. Just some counter space.
There is a bunch of young men working behind the counter so you get your food lightning fast. It’s a line and it keeps moving so know what you want and order fast.
Prices are more than fair.
Be like a local and get your food and eat it in the car or standing outside the car. It’s a like a big tail gate.
Go here NOW!
Thee place for the hot dog. Definitely a staple in the community. There is typically a line, but it moves quickly. Staff is friendly and moves quickly. Restaurant is clean. No tables, but there is a ledge for people to eat of necessary.
I ordered a double dog. It comes with fries. Everything was fresh. Order was ready within minutes.
Gene and Jude's is my preferred destination for Vienna hotdogs. I typically opt for mine plain with a double dog, and it consistently meets the expectations of both myself and my family. I've also tried their tamales, which are of high quality. The popularity of this establishment is evident from the long lines often seen outside. The employees are courteous and welcoming. I highly recommend this establishment and believe you will enjoy it as well.
This place completely lives up to the hype. A completely bare bones interior (no chairs, just some counters to stand and eat on) no ketchup, but no problem. The no frills aspect just reinforces the primary reason you are here…. To eat a mind blowing delicious hotdog smothered with French fries. The result is pure heaven.
River Grove, Illinois-Got off the plane at Midway Chicago! Had to try the award winning hot dog with mustard, onions, sport peppers topped with amazing fries!! Sooo good!!
This place is hands down one of the must try for Chicago style hotdogs. Gene and Jude's has been around forever. One of the last places of its kind. The hotdogs are amazing and the fries are old school! It gets so busy at times that parking is difficult. It reminds me of a 50s movie where all the cool kids would drive their cool cars and park and hang out for hours... There is no seating here and no one cares cause everyone is eating in their cars, on their cars or just in the parking lot!
Maybe I'm not enough of a hot dog aficionado to appreciate a true Chicago dog. We saw the many reviews and articles online about it being the best hot dogs so we made the 30-40min trek out of the city to see what this place is all about. Iconic, perhaps, but all I can say is maybe we just don't get it. It has a bit of that old-timey feel and they're quick but I didn't find anything particularly special about my dog with relish, mustard, and french fries. The tamale, I'm still confused about... it doesn't mention anywhere on the package what kind of meat is inside and honestly it's not good. We come from Texas so a tamale served in a package just ain't right unless it's a corn husk.
