I've stayed here 4 times and I've always liked it, but apparently now they have live music inside the hotel's atrium until 10 pm at night. They have a water park, so I'm sure there are families with children. I don't understand why they would have someone singing and playing guitar at high volume. There are so many better options for live music in Nashville if you want it. I wanted quiet, comfort and relaxation, but I have to listen to this person sing regardless.
Edit: I went to the front desk and asked for a room in a different atrium without live music and they were understanding and quick to accommodate. I didn't complain, just asked to be moved. Simply said, "The live music just isn't for me." Rating moved to 4-stars.
Arrived on a Thursday afternoon and had to stand in line for 20 minutes to check in(after I had checked in online) The resort is nice, huge gardens/waterfalls. But charge of $37 a night to park your car a mile away from the room or $50 for valet parking. $9 for a bottle of beer at pizza shop. Everything is overpriced, including the room. Room is similar to Holiday Inn express. However no place to sit other than the desk chair, even though the room was very large. Housekeeping showed up at 5:00pm next day, asking if we want our room "freshened" well for what I'm paying for this room yes, would have been nice to have had it done while we were out of the room most of the day. Tried to sit at Falls Bar for a drink, no place to sit, so we walked around and stopped at Ravello, thinking we were going to wine bar there, but the tables outside of the "wine bar" area were for the restaurant, so we asked at the hostess desk about a table for 2, it would be 20 minutes, even though 80% of the tables were empty and it was around 5:30pm. So we made it back to Falls and found a table, dirty but it was a table. $50 for 2 drinks and some snack mix. Dinner at Old Hickory on the next night was pleasant, service was good, food good. This is a been there done that for us. Also, outdoor pool was closed (in April) and indoor pool/hot tubs were full of kids(it was spring break)
First impressions are everything!
Andre checked us in and was so welcoming. He took care of us and even helped us find the perfect room! He started off the experience on a high note and it never ended! From soundwaves, to the food and room we stayed in, everything was amazing. The employees here never hesitate to help guest! It's a very homey place to be! Thank you for making my daughter's birthday one to remember.
Beautiful resort. Super large .. but the staff can guide you when you are lost. Lots of directories to guide you also. Lush beautiful flowers and trees.
We were utilizing the convention center and it was a great layout and plenty of restrooms.
At one of the Bars on main floor, I enjoyed the ladybug ???? cocktail. I wish I had taken a photo. sorry I'm in many I posted
Beautiful hotel. It is a must see. Had an issue with the valet but Barry, the manager, resolved it completely. The hospitality was a nice change from other hotels. Catch the light and fountain show in the Delta gardens at 8:00 pm if you can. Book early to get the best rates. Last minute bookings are expensive.
We visited November 2023 and had a fantastic time. I love the gardens and how much walking indoors you can do at the resort. The addition of the water park was a hit for the kids. The kids loved the frozen experience too. Always a wonderful time away here. If you are an early riser and want coffee it can be a little tricky to find here. You might want to bring some Starbucks VIA otherwise this place is magical.
From start to finish, we had a lovely weekend getaway!!! Cory, our bell services assistant, was WONDERFUL! He went above and beyond, making sure we knew where our room was located, telling us about the history of the hotel, and sharing his favorite places inside Gaylord. He is a jewel!!! Check in and check out process was very easy! And the grounds are breathtaking!! It's easy to get lost, but there's so much to see!!!! We did visit Soundwaves and it was very well kept. It was raining outside so we couldn't enjoy the outdoor amenities, but we enjoyed the indoor ones. We absolutely loved our experience and will definitely be back!
My dad stayed here for a couple of days, but I only stopped by to visit and did not stay.
The rooms seem nice and spacious, but very expensive. Their room overlooking the atrium was $600+ a night. I believe having a room overlooking the atrium would be nice nice for sleeping, because you would have some ambient noise from the water which would be relaxing.
I had never heard of this place prior to my dad staying here, so I was mesmerized by how much there was inside. The landscaping is beautiful.
Their check-in took approximately 15 minutes. There was valet parking available and huge lots.
I believe they had to pay an extra $26 for parking in addition to the price of their room.
I would be interested in coming back for a day trip, but I don't know if I would be able to justify the cost.
This place is wheelchair accessible, however I feel like navigating it in a chair would be quite cumbersome as there are so many different levels and you would have to find how to get to a lift to get to where you're wanting to go.
