My family and I went to enjoy Ice! A Charlie Brown Christmas and not only were the sculptures incredible, but to my surprise, there were even slides for adults and children inside! My 2 year old was thrilled to be able to interact with the icy wonderland playground. The Christmas Village was filled with events she would likely enjoy when she is a bit older, like the Snow Flow Mountain slides and the snowball toss. The whole event was very well done and a highly recommended family trip for those with children.
I stayed here over a weekend for a conference in the adjoining conference center. I'd seen this place from the bridge for years, but had no idea what it was. The hotel is MASSIVE, which is both good and challenging, but there is plenty to do and it's an ideal location for a convention.
The check in was super easy, and the staff direct you to the elevator that you need to use. That's important because if you choose the wrong one, you can be in for a very long walk with luggage. The hotel is immaculate, and looks brand new. I didn't see a mark on a wall anywhere.
My room was excellent; plenty of space, everything clean and functioning properly, bed super comfortable, water hot all the time, etc. No issues at all. I even had a view of the river.
There are multiple restaurants, bars, and plenty of space to stretch out and relax. There is a "town" center within walking distance with numerous restaurants, bars, and other activities and so you don't really need a car to keep yourself entertained. If you do have a car, there are plenty of valets and bellmen to take care of you; they hailed us multiple cabs and it literally only took seconds for them to arrive.
Overall, a great hotel. No complaints whatsoever.
Love the NH Gaylord and harbor little city feel. Visited for ICE experience. Ice sculptures are pretty incredible. Kids love the indoor snow tubing. Place is beautifully decorated. Staff is nice. Pricey but perfect for a special occasion.
We didnt stay at the resort but went in for the afternoon to enjoy 'Ice'. The resort is a bit of an experience in and of itself. Lots of holiday festivities today. Eateries, pretty fountain in the atrium, shopping, and family friendly fun. We got to see part of the Cirque inspired show from the lobby balcony. Very engaging! Ice was awesome. This year it was a Charlie Brown theme. Parkas are given out at the entrance and are needed because its only 7 degrees inside. You would be surprised how quickly your nose starts running and your fingers grow numb...but its all in great fun. Highly recommended for kids of all ages.
This was the second time that we stayed at the National Harbor Gaylord. We have enjoyed both of our experiences. This time, we had a room with an interior balcony, overlooking all of the going ons in the hotel, including their shows. There are several restaurants, bars, stores, etc. They have an abundance of meeting rooms that can accommodate thousands of people. We were there for an event that held nearly 3000 people, and the staff was pretty on top of things considering the chaos that is involved with such an amount of people. I would recommend this location.
Every Thanksgiving, I come to this hotel, and I’ve been doing so for several years now. The experience is always wonderful. The hotel’s decor is elegant, high-end, and has a unique style of its own. The staff are very friendly, and you can tell they’re well-trained. The rooms are clean, tidy, and comfortable. The hotel also seems experienced in hosting events, with every detail executed flawlessly.
The food is average.
I had stayed here several years when they first opened. That experience was far better. This time - I was put in a room that felt like it was punishment area. I could see the river but also all the industrial area. There was another room next to mine that had a door connecting it. Generally I am not a fan of those rooms I don’t feel safe if there is another guest there. No one was in there until the last night and family came in. The kid kept kicking the door at night. I put on noise canceling headphones it was still a pain. The food was such a disappointment. The sunsets over the Potomac were worth it
Clean, quiet and staff was excellent. Very welcoming to me and two young kids. We received a free upgrade to a beautiful balcony room! The pool is huge and clean, lifeguard on duty to help with kids and arcade and gym are great. Would recommend for anyone with kids! We also enjoyed the harbor social bar games!
