We ordered the seafood platter (4 oz crab cake, flounder- dry and over cooked,oyster stuffed with 4oz crab cake-oyster didn’t have a good taste, scallops, shrimp, asparagus, mashed potatoes), Gumbo, an extra crab cake, kids chicken nuggets, a drink called the Moscow mule or something. The food was good, the atmosphere was great, the server was great. I end up ordering the strawberry shortcake to go but it was not good. It was made with that fake gelatin stuff with a real strawberry on top. Overall it was good but it was missing that special thing I was looking for. It was the average seafood. It was okay. It was on Mother’s Day. I forgot to mention that the restaurant was very clean except the restrooms. The floors had urine all on the floors in the stalls and seats and one of the stalls in the ladies room was out of order. I was disgusted.
Sat at the bar in the lounge. Ordered a single crab cake platter that came with 2 sides. The crab cake was good. Is there a reason we can’t have mashed potatoes or baked potato loaded?? Or was I lied to? I have never heard that at any other restaurant. The side salad was the saddest salad I’ve ever seen & tasted with only 2 cherry tomatoes. Since covid, the quality of food went down, but prices have increased. Sad
A friend of mine swore by this place, and I was not disappointed. We had impeccable service, and our waitresses was extremely friendly. We were there for lunch on a Sunday, and it fills up quickly. The most surprising thing to me as a Louisianan was the crab cakes. They weren't as spicy as ours down here, but they were really, really good. ????????
The food portions are good, along with food choices. I highly recommend the crab dip and anything "lump crab cake" related. The green beans were also good.
The mash potatoes were a little dry.
This place is fantastic. My dad talks about this restaurant all the time and I finally had the opportunity to go. These guys don't mess around; they make a big crab cake with the best crab. Sure, it's expensive, but worth it. You can't go wrong with their octopus too.
I met a friend who flew in from Detroit I took the train in from another city as well. He insisted that we go to this place. I got the fried flounder it was dry and overcooked almost burnt mashed potatoes were cold broccoli was cold the only thing that was good was the bottled water. We also got some apple strudel something it was Bland and tasteless stick to the fried shrimp that's the best bet at this place. Mediocre food atmosphere and service. I would not recommend this place nor will I ever be returning. In the bathroom is unisex with a toilet and a urinal.
Google did good with this one! I was in town for the weekend and needed to grab a bite before heading to the concert. Did a google search and came across G&M. I saw quite a few options so figured we'd give it a try. The entrees were plentiful and the drinks hit the spot. My boyfriend had the calamari while I had the crab chowder. Both were yummy! For my entree I had the Seafood fra Diavalo... delightful! My boyfriend had the shrimp Alfredo. The portion was big enough to have leftovers which is always a win!
We savored the mouthwatering crab cake and enjoyed shrimp and mussels in a tasty white wine sauce. With a wide variety of dishes, it's best to book ahead as it gets busy. The service was friendly, and the cozy atmosphere added to the enjoyable experience. They even have Tesla parking spots.
