Love this environment. Open patio that over looks the beach and ocean. Food was good fair prices and great service. Family friendly environment. And don't mind the pigeons they are part of the clean up crew.
If you're in Clearwater, Frenchy's Rockaway Grill is a must-visit! The menu offers a wide variety of options to satisfy diverse tastes, though the vegetarian selection is somewhat limited. Start with their Dirty Banana cocktail and the pretzel appetizer—both are fantastic! The main courses shine with flavorful choices of burgers, fresh fish, and poultry dishes. Frenchy's still the same after 30+ years of me coming here....which means it's Great! Gotta come for the Grouper period! The best, add in a massive menu, list of beach cocktails of everything you've heard of and then the right on the beach view and experience. Throw in great service and all at a fair price you have Frenchy's.
Love the remodel. They really opened up the place. We sat at the bar and had attentive service. I had the seafood gumbo and my huband enjoyed a cajun, super grouper sandwich. Both were excellent.
Location is excellent but had a 1 hour wait, extremely packed. The waitress was good but forgot some things at times. I ordered the 3 Kings meal and the rum runner drink. The grouper and shrimp were good, scallops were a slightly rubber texture, and the drink was not what I expected. Too sweet and too much ice. It had barely any alcohol in it. All together this place was enjoyable, I recommend giving it a shot!
We loved everything about this place, the atmosphere was amazing right on the beach the parking was a little challenging but everything else was wonderful. We loved the grouper sandwich it was delicious. The server was very kind.
Sat out on the patio that's on the beach. This place was large! There are chairs also on the beach, but no tables. You can walk in from the beach or try to find parking in the parking lot that also shares the parking with people who are going to the beach. The parking was really difficult. They told us there was about a 30 min wait to sit in the patio, but only ended up being about 15 min, which was really nice! You can also walk up and order a drink while you wait. Their drinks are awesome! I had the dirty banana. The draft beers are only a 10 oz cup, but you can have a many as you want. Got the fried grouper and it was sooooo good! Light fish taste, not potent. Got the original size, 4oz, but wish I would have gotten the 6oz as the 4 was small. Also tried the Frenchys garlic crab fries, would recommend! Had to send back the kids burger as the first one came out burned.
Pretty busy spot since it's right on beach. Surprisingly got a table immediately on a Sunday around 4.
Service was fine. Food was fine.
Nothing amazing, everything was fine but everything was also pretty bland. With a bit of salt, everything tasted better, but that's with any food right...
Would I crave their food and go out of my way to come back, no. Would I make a pit stop for a quick bite after a day at the beach, sure.
