Such a great, safe, fun, and friendly establishment, to gamble or watch a game. I chose the El Cortez to watch a game and have a beer and I wasn't let down at all. I was amazingly impressed with the way that place was ran, and felt right at home. There was absolutely nothing I could have complained about. I also loved the hot dog stand there along with the delicious Mango beers. I will be back there soon to lodge, gamble, eat, and drink again. I can't wait! Thank you El Cortez for making me feel at home and part of your family.
This is my second time staying here at the El Cortez while attending a conference. It's a relatively small hotel and casino so it's easy to navigate compared to the monsters on the strip. It does have a resort fee (the scourge of Vegas) but not as bad as some other casinos. I stayed in a premium tower king overlooking the mountains. The room is nicely appointed with coffee, fridge, & large flat screen TV. The bathroom has been upgraded very nicely. The king bed is firm, not a pillow-top, but comfy enough. Maid service is excellent. There's no pool here, so you won't need to bring your suit.||Checking in is relatively quick compared to bigger hotels. Last time I came they used key cards to get in your room. They have changed that to a bracelet you hold up to the elevator and door sensor. Works well.||The location is nice - close to Fremont Experience and Container Park without being so close you're stuck with the clamor half the night. It's also just a block away from the Deuce, which will take you to the Bonneville Transit Center or down the strip. If you need to get to the LVCC, hop off at the BTC, then take 108 which runs about every 30 minutes.||Another plus is they will provide you with a ride TO the airport when it's time to go.
My wife and I very recently paid a visit to the El Cortez Casino and ate lunch at Spiegel’s 1941. The El Cortez is a diamond from way back maintaining their history of providing great service to their customers. Their casino area is clean, friendly, and with that historical vibe that you might not expect. We visited several other casinos both on Fremont Street and the Strip. Many are not being well maintained, equipment not operating properly, and a lack of customer appreciation. The El Cortez is an enjoyable exception. Even their restrooms are exceptionally clean. Spiegel’s $19.99 daily protection special cannot be beat. Please, spend your money on those that treat you like good customers.
The El Cortez is great!!
My wife and I stayed in their cabana side across the street from the casino and we loved it and would definitely stay there again.. The only thing I can suggest for the company is to do a little better cleaning in the showers, the one we were in could use a good scrubbing and a little bit better water pressure, other than that, I would highly recommend staying here..
This is by far the best casino in Las Vegas. I have never stayed here “I plan to one day” but I have played here many times and it’s such a fun intimate environment. If you’re in Vegas this is a must stop! You will love the history on the walls and all the employees are great. This is the spot!
We just wete inside the casino. I like the older style casinos. I feel more at home in them. People were friendly and the staff was nice. They didn't mind my sense of humor when I asked for an escort cashing my 0.22 ticket. Guy played right along. Overall, it was a fun time there.
This spot is a blast for gaming enthusiasts! The security measures are top-notch, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience. While wins may not come often, the vibrant atmosphere and diverse game selection keep the excitement alive. Plus, the addition of a fantastic restaurant and an excellent barber shop upstairs adds to the appeal. Without a doubt, it's a must-visit destination while downtown!
