Took my daughter this morning at 4am to catch her flight. Men were waxing and cleaning the floors. The place is always super clean when we are there. Very impressed with the way things are kept up! TSA has moved security checkpoint upstairs which was very nice. Much better than when it was on the lower level. Lines moved quickly! Parking and paying was easy and quick. Overall, just a very pleasant experience.
Although this airport serving the DC region is not the best one I have ever been to, it does offer nonstop domestic and international flights to over 100 destinations with many airlines. However, it would be great if there were more and better dining options and duty-free shops inside the gate both before departure and after arrival. Additionally, it would be nice if the facilities were updated and better maintained. The airport provides a large parking lot for short-term parking and a parking garage for long-term parking.
Solid airport - the central Z terminal with rows of terminals A - D was a little confusing initially but pretty easy to figure out. Enjoy the easy access trains between terminals.
Theres a good amount of lounges for Priority Passes and the Capitol One and Chase / Etihad lounges were great.
Flew into Dulles airport after a really long time, not impressed at all. Low ceilings compared to other modern or renovated airports. Looks dated and wasn’t very impressed.
They did have United lounge in terminal c and D but they need a facelift for sure.
I only saw part of the airport as I was just passing through with a 1 hour and 30 minute layover. But it was smooth getting from one terminal to the other using the train system.
The terminal building (sorry I forgot which one) we were flying out of didn't have a great selection of food. There was a Starbucks, a sandwich place, and a couple of other choices but that was it.
Overall it was good considering how busy it was.

An advise, DO NOT leave your car by Vallet when you drop your passenger. Otherwise, you will get a ticket, and your care will be searched. If you expect to be away from your car, you need to park in the parking area, terminal park is close and easy to access.
