This restaurant is normally a favorite of mine. I am a regular at the Malibu location and have always made it a point to visit the Waikiki location on each visit. I've had all great experiences up until now. We visited for brunch, which was right at the end of their breakfast buffet. They made us wait 10minutes after being seated to just give us the menus because lunch hadn't started yet, which was weird. My mom is currently on a very strict diet due to some recent health concerns and was unable to have anything on the limited lunch menu. As a result she brought her own small cup of yogurt. The wait staff informed us there was no outside food allowed, and even though we explained that she is currently unable to eat anything on the menu, they asked her to leave. This was extremely disappointing and ruined the experience of our relaxing morning. Because of this unfortunate interaction, this will be my last visit to this location.
Completely satisfactory
Nothing wrong, nothing especially right. The service was top-tier, but nothing on the menu really knocked my socks off. While the views are spectacular if you're by the ocean, when a spot's biggest flex is their salad bar, you should set your expectations accordingly.
The "pie" is basically all ice cream. Is it still tasty? Sure, but it's not a pie as much as it's an excuse to eat fudge.
Glad I went, not in a hurry to return.
Food was good seems a lot has changed over the years. Staff was friendly and helpful. Mai tais on point really, liked the mashed potatoes. The prime rib was made correctly. View was also pleasant.
I had my 42 year birthday at this restaurant for dinner. It’s my first time visiting Honolulu, and we had a great time there. Food is very tasty and a good amount (not too little, not too much). Mario is an awesome server, he showed us what great customer service is, very attentive and we can tell he cares about the customer. He offered us a hula pie to celebrate my birthday. It’s so good, we will come back again!

I've visited here several times, for drinks, for dining and for their more casual menu on the terrace. It's always really popular and it's easy to see why. The food is great, it has a really good atmosphere and the location is perfect. Would recommend but book early!
It was worth to make a reservation here. Very nice location, good service . The fish tacos were marvelous and also the ribs and chicken my wife had. We need to come back other times
My mom and I went here for dinner this past Friday in Waikiki. We decided to eat from their casual menu, which is opening seating, which is part of their indoor restaurant and outside patio. Which worked well for us, we were able to find a table right away on the patio. Which had a beautiful view of sunset and the beach. Although it was pretty loud, despite the indoor/outdoor layout because you are right next to the bar. Although we didn't let it ruin our time. My mom ordered a chicken sandwich, and I ordered the burger. Our food was simple but tasty. Highly recommend this place if you don't have any reservations for the weekend since casually dining is walk in! Also great place to catch sunset by the beach!
Highly recommend! According to the host, the main dining area books up 2-3 months in advance, but the walk-in outdoor patio is fantastic too. I actually prefer the outdoor seating for the beach vibe. The food quality (burger, nachos, ribs, calamari) was excellent and did not disappoint.
This place is an amazing place to end your Hawaii trip. Do it on your last night!
