Best WLM Reviews

I had higher hopes for this establishment given the ratings. We arrived around 4pm. They had us seat ourselves. Once the drink order for two was placed, it was another 10-15 min before they arrived. Ordered the spicy wings which were delicious! Also had ordered the Cajun fish tacos which was also very good. Asked for extra napkins (never brought them out). Not once had the server come by and ask how the food was or if there’s anything they can do. Took the order and didn’t see them again until clearing the table and bringing the check. That unfortunately for them is reflected in my tip and I tip well if the service is good. The server may have been new, they may have been understaffed. I take time to consider those things however at the end of the day, other places are able to make it happen, so they should as well.
The ambience is always pleasing. The food was fresh and delivered promptly. Our server, Mario, was very attentive throughout our entire meal. I tried the salad bar for the first time as an add-on to my meal. It offered a variety of salad choices along with a nice selection of soup and fruit. I highly recommend making a reservation or checking out the bar ahead of time to find a place to wait.
The lunch buffet is worth the price. The poke was decent quality and their garlic shrimp was on point. There is no dessert with the buffet that has to be ordered à la cart instead. Make sure you set a reservation around lunchtime or else you’re gonna have to wait around 30 minutes to be seated. Service is prompt and the restaurant has a very beach surfer vibe that is perfect for a casual sit down place. Would definitely go back again.
A great place to experience Waikiki sunset. The place is absolutely huge! I wouldn’t bother booking as the only place you’d want to sit is on the patio area which is “first in best dressed”. Literally, people stalk for the next table so be prepared to do this, and don’t feel rude as it’s the done thing. A great view if you land a decent table. Our waitress was ok, pretty rude but it was a busy night. The food was delicious. We shared a burger and Korean reef tacos - both super tasty. The band was playing on the lower level but pretty hard to hear.
You can immediately tell this is a staple of Waikiki dining. In all fairness, this is not the place for a quiet romantic dinner as it is a large and moderately loud dining atmosphere; in a good way. We enjoyed our meals and had amazing service. We had reservations and were seated & waited upon promptly. I highly recommend Duke’s Waikiki!
We had the Duke's breakfast buffet. Lot of options were available. You can purchase the breakfast buffet if you don't stay in the outrigger resort. Plenty fresh fruit of tropical variety, refilled frequently. Fluffy Banana pancakes and coconut syrup, one of the best we've had. Ambience is good, tropical vibes with straw umbrellas, wooden decor, lots of indoor plants, outdoor seating with ocean views etc.
We went to Dukes in Waikiki as a recommendations from some friends and the first thing to point out is it’s a casual restaurant not fine dining. So you can wear pretty much whatever and here beach attire or you can get dressed up, but you’ll look at a place I think. It’s busy and we weren’t sure why it was so busy but it’s a very reasonable restaurant. No that doesn’t mean the food’s not good because I think it’s one of the better meals we’ve had in Oahu. One thing to know, they have a salad bar here for an extra nine dollars that you could add on your meal and it’s worth it several different salads muffins bread, and soup. our food was very good. The presentation was that of a high-end restaurant so if you’re looking for high-end place may not have surroundings but the food definitely is we would come back here in a second. Hopefully you stop by here if you’re in the area.
The food was fantastic. Particularly the Cajun fish tacos had a wonderful smoky flavor. The waitress was great too, very fast and recommending great dishes. The only downside of this restaurant is the noise outside. We sat at a table with a beautiful beach view but the guests at the restaurant were super loud. It‘s not a romantic restaurant. It‘s where you party and watch people.
