I had way too much fun on my visit. I rented an electric bike and rode around the area quite a bit. It is bike friendly and so in spite of probably going where I shouldn't or too slow, no one honked at me. Lots of bike lanes on the roads, plus bike lanes to the beach. Great restaurants and other interesting stores. I also ran across a farmers market near downtown on a Wednesday morning, so I was very pleased and stocked up on very interesting fruits.
Each shop is bright and tidy, while street performers occasionally stop in the middle of the avenue, filling the air with melodious music. If you feel like pausing, quietly listening, and enjoying a moment of peace and relaxation, benches are thoughtfully placed along the street, allowing you to fully immerse yourself and savor the leisurely holiday atmosphere.
Great ???????? we went to a restaurant called 1212, It was fantastic. The restaurant is beautiful. Our waiter, Will, was great!!! He was very helpful, friendly, courtesy & pleasant with a great smile ???? The food & drinks were perfect & delicious. And of course, the music was also awesome. It was my birthday & they helped me celebrate ???? ???????? Thanks to my daughters, niece & everyone who sang happy birthday to me ????✨️????❤️???????????? i will be back ????
We had some time and decided to take a walk from Venice to Santa Monica downtown.

Many singers, coffee's, exclusive shopping center and tasty restaurant all along.
Been going to Third St Promenade for years and this shopping area does not disappoint. Got a cute gold bracelet from a small boutique here and it’s just a chill spot to visit when in town.
There are tons of restaurants, shopping centers, and live music on the streets. Would definitely come back soon!

I had a 12 hours layover in LAX and decided to spend a few hours in Santa Monica. It will not disappoint you. Very cleaned, beautiful streets, lots of retail shops, bars, and restaurants. The views of the ocean are amazing, the beach is very nice, lots of music and things to do.
