Best WLM Reviews

We stayed here for 2 nights. Received the local deal, which was AMAZING! The deposit fee was so affordable and because we are locals the waved the resort fees! Yayyy!
We enjoyed our stay here. We stayed in the tower fairly close to all the clubs and bars, which wasn’t a bother at all. We had the best sleep in months while staying here.
We had the pool view. Which was okay.
The casino hadn’t had too much machines. They do have a none smoking machine near the front desk.
Cigarette, snack, phone charging vending machine. Machine you can purchase tickets for a show or activities.
Pools on the 3rd floor, very secured!
I wouldn’t recommend this hotel being a “family” place. Not that much of kid-friendly things to do.
The only complain I would have to say is the Players Club system was down the first night we were there. There was only one service attendant and she was slightly rude! However, I understand that she was overwhelmed as she was dealing with a lot of angry customers. The next day we finally got our members card after putting so much money into their machines without receiving points! The associate handling the players cards desk, he wasn’t too happy to assist customers either!
The room was very nice. Lots of space. The curtains were great and truly blackout, which I really liked. Wasn't a fan of not having a microwave or mini fridge, but I didn't book the room so that was out of my control. Location was great, just a block away from Fremont St. The pool area was nice but didn't use it. The hours are short 9a-6p, which I found odd. Perhaps there's something to be said for smaller towns with hotel pools that are open until 10pm.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Downtown Grand. This is a great location if you are attending an event at the World Market Center like we were. Our son had a cornhole tournament and we walked every day to his events. The weather was hot and sunny so we enjoyed the beautiful infinity pool every day. Our room was clean and spacious, the pool food and drinks were awesome. This is our new go to hotel when we want to be near Fremont St. but still get a good nights sleep.
I enjoyed my stay very much. Great location one block away from Fremont Street. The hotel was very clean > my room, the casino, the pool area. The pool was very nice. It was never crowded and I could always get a lounge chair. I ate twice at Freedom Beat; both times were good. Staff was friendly and professional. Will definitely be back!
Was hoping to get daily water, but didn't get it, likely due to the do not disturb sign. Biggest issue was the pool. Booked this place just for that. Couldn't even use it. Only open until 6pm right now.. There are only about a dozen free lounge chairs. Most all other comfortable seating was reserved due to some party. Cabanas were over $700. Rooms are nice, nice view, good restaurant. Decent prices.
We booked our stay here based on reviews from others, but unfortunately found ourselves quite disappointed. We travel a lot and stay in a wide range of places, so are quite adaptable. Despite this, lots on cons about the Grand....a poor name for the hotel to begin with.
Getting a bellman took about 30 min and when he did arrive all he did was complain that he was missing his lunch.
The room we were assigned was revolting. We couldn't make it past the door. The stench was either vomit or sewage. We were given a new room in the Galaxy Tower which seemed nice but even with earplugs the pounding of music prevented any sleep. At almost 2am we packed and moved all our luggage to yet a 3rd room, which was finally quiet enough to sleep.
Food was OK, not great.
Staff seem miserable. Few could crack a smile. Cleaning staff hang out in restrooms chatting on phones while the sinks remain filthy.
Pool is cold, closes early and drinks are very overpriced.
If all you care about is location and don't mind overpaying for what you get, by all means go ahead and reserve. We however would never stay there again.
Place hasn't changed much over the years, but I went on a Tuesday night where the rest of Fremont was packed, but it was dead in here. Which is nice, I guess. If you are looking for a little peace and quiet while in Fremont, this is the place. I remembered the server from many years ago. I'm surprised she's remained so sweet and friendly. Usually Fremont guests will turn sweet servers into jaded and bitter people but she's still the same sweet girl
DTG, staff is the BEST, safest and super helpful. Food, drinks good. The pool was nice and clean. Never had to look for bartenders when playing slots. The staff was very helpful when my spouse got lost…. They helped him home more than once. We loved this place.
