2.5 experience, specifically regarding customer service. Upon arrival my party had reserved 2 rooms together in the 60’s building. We were told they booked us 2 rooms in the 50’s. They ended up booking us one room in 60’s and one room in 50’s. The man at the front desk stepped away and came back and said “We can get you 2 rooms together in the 60’s building.” Hooray? No. 2 seconds later he comes back and says “Unfortunately we can’t get you those rooms.” ??? So he just lied to us? This must be a guest service tactic they practice because a couple days later I asked another front desk worker if they had roll away beds and she said “yes we can definitely get you a roll away bed” then she left for 2 seconds and came back and said “we don’t have roll away beds.” ????????? I said “have you ever” and she said “no.” This is not a good tactic. Don’t get customers hopes up as a trick just to let them down because you end up making them confused and upset. Restaurant service was nice. Skyliner was nice, but bus should be available, too. If you’re looking for better customer service probably look elsewhere. Also, the pool should look into having hours for adults at night. Too many kids all day, very noisy, hard to relax. Since they have 2, making one pool adults for a couple hours at night doesn’t seem like a big deal. Overall mid
Just returned from a two week holiday at Pop Century. I’ve stayed at two moderate hotels in Disney World and Pop was my first value resort. Wow I loved it and I don’t think there’s anything value about this resort. It had everything you need for a family stay in Disney. The beds were comfortable, the room was big enough for 4 adults. The Murphy bed was as comfortable as the main bed. We had 4 adults in the room and never struggled with space. We also had the Murphy’s bed down at all times. The shop on site is large and has some great merchandise. The skyliner is very convenient and we had no problems with large queues to ride it. Buses ran about every 10-15mins. We stayed in the 80s building and we found this very convenient for getting to the buses, skyliner and the main areas. I would definitely stay at Pop Century again when I plan my next Disney holiday. I would highly recommend this hotel, it certainly isn’t a value resort in my opinion. It’s got everything you need for a great family Disney holiday
Love love love this resort. Love the location. Love the skyliner. Love the gift shop (it’s my favorite on property) Love the pool. Rooms have Murphy bed and a queen and bathrooms have TONS of shelving for storage. Quiet resort but super fun. Great theme. Sister resort is across the bridge. Cafeteria has great choices and good gluten free options too.
Came here for my son’s 5th birthday! Loved how this place was designed! Seems a lot like All Stars Resorts except this one was more on the historic side which was awesome! They had a huge lobby by check in where you’d see all the artifacts framed between the 50s to 00’s! They also had quite the timeline of Walt Disney along with the accomplishments of Disney World! They had an Arcade, Cafeteria & Store nearby! This place was just great overall and was nothing but positive vibes! Swimming pool & Laundromat was between all the buildings named after 50s, 60s, 70s and etc.! Staff here were amazing especially when it came to cleaning and maintenance! Management check with customers to make sure everything is fine so 5 stars for communication! I had a damaged TV in my room so I made sure they were aware of it! No complaints about that though! Just keep up the great work!!!||Tips. Stop by Walmart to stash a case of water along with some snacks and/or dry food because their foods and drinks can be pricey and it ain’t worth overspending daily! Other than that.. Great resort!
Absolutely love Pop! We have stayed here multiple times and have never had a bad experience! The rooms are clean and a perfect size for the two of us, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful when needed. Overall can’t say enough about how much we enjoy staying here. The Skyliner is also a fabulous perk!
first time staying here in 20 years. last time i was here I was 5. for a budget resort, this place is anything but cheap! the employees in every area of this resort have been absolutely amazing. the rooms are very nice and modern and cozy. it was 3 adults and 1 child to a room and we had more than enough room! we stayed in the 50s building. it was great. the only noise I heard from other rooms was the toilet flushing. the food in the food court was pretty good, my favorites were the chicken parmesan with Alfredo, and the sweet BBQ pulled pork sandwich. I also loved the mickey waffles they were delicious. I will be opting to stay at pop century every time we come.
We really like Pop. It's quite functional, always clean and convenient. It was getting a fresh coat of paint while we were there, Mar 24'. That was neat to see.
Very basic here. The rooms are small. Housekeeping is now every other day. Quite functional..
Our only real complaint is that this value resort is rather sprawling. But this is the case with several of Disney's resorts and one of the ways they efficiently deal with housing so many people. So, just be mentally prepared to potentially walk quite a bit to get from your room to transportation. Oh and be prepared for the odd technical error, like the buses telling you to use the Gondolas ( which is typical for Hollywood Studios and Epcot) and having the Gondolas telling you to use the buses due to lightning! It definitely helps to have someone in your party thoroughly familiar with the transportation system there.
The resort is spotless clean, on the skyline and so fun. A huge salt water pool is awesome for cooling off. Theres a store and cafeteria style eatery inside. The lobby has a cartoon artist who will draw you for a fee. Theres an arcade with pinball and other games. The front of the hotel is the transportation center. Buses to all parks leave periodically. They are well marked and easy to use. There is a bar at the pool and hut that sells tattoos and hair weaving. Each floor has a vending machine and ice maker. We didn’t see any characters at the resort and that would have pushed it over the top! The room was spacious and shower had full size shampoo conditioner and body wash. The grounds were kept well!
