So many resorts and hotels, so many options. I am sure you can find a good deal and value. I cannot speak for the other resorts, but my experience here was truly amazing.
Many thanks to Kathy, Elma, Gina and most importantly Charlie who really took care of our family. Charlie gave us an above-and-beyond experience that I will never forget: True display of leadership.
Hotel rooms were amazing - kids loved the Lion King Family Suite and of course, the great Disney channels. The cable car experience was truly amazing and an experience the kids will never forget.
Many thanks to everyone working here at the Animation Resort. We left the property with a big smile on our face.
Overall, we have enjoyed both of our visits to AOA. We have stayed in this style of room twice, my husband and I were complimentarily upgraded for no reason (pixie dust), and the second time, we booked it with two other adults for a RunDisney Race weekend. ||The Lion King family suites are spacious enough for four adults (one couple and two singles) to stay for a few nights during a race weekend. My husband and I used the private bedroom and ensuite bathroom, and each friend used the pull-out couch and Murphy bed and shared the second bathroom. ||The rooms are adorable and have great detailed theming. However, they are pretty small. If you needed to use the in-room dining or living room area, you’d need to put away the Murphy bed and pull out the couch first. Making these rooms suitable for sleeping but not hanging out. Also, the kitchen area is lacking. The refrigerator is very small for families or groups. You can tell the rooms and decor are aging, but it’s still an enjoyable room for a shorter stay.||The theming at AOA is so over-the-top and vibrant that you can’t help but feel instantly and completely submerged in Disney Magic. The pool bar and quick service meals are pretty standard and similar to other value resorts. If you have kids or want to feel like a kid - staying at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is a must at least once!
Loved the restaurant, the food everywhere T Disney is fabulous. We ate! The rooms are nice and have a separate master suite which is a big bonus. The big blue pool is pretty and the laundry facility was sure handy. The only thing I would have harped on but I typically don’t do that is that there were a few places in our room that needed minor repairs. Also our rooms were not ready on time but I’m sure this isn’t typical. This place is for kids of a younger age though it would seem.
Positive: Very clean, excellent location, convenience of skyliner was terrific. Cars suite had ample space and two bathrooms are fantastic for a family of 4. Interior corridors and elevators good. Pools spotless, ample seating at Cars pool. Negative: Food choices lacking. Some may not care for overload of Disney theming, but that¿s what you¿re getting here. Without a deal hotel is very pricey for amenities. Negative: ""
We’ve stayed at a lot of other resorts, including the Polynesian and Grand Floridian. This is the first one that the kids have asked to go back to my name. They loved the filming and the pools. The parents loved the spacious suite. We will definitely be booking here again!
Nice pool and decent room, but if you're going to get a meal plan, might want to plan on it not working all the time and having to pay for every meal or a second time! It's ridiculous I'm here right now & couldn't get breakfast and now I can't get dinner! Been to the front desk already they said they activated a card and so I won't even have that problem anymore but yeah just tried to use it and walked out because the stress and embarrassment is just too much I haven't eaten all day due to Disney Parks staff messing up or the cards not working or a meal plan with over 40+ meals on it won't work ???? been a miserable trip honestly not even worth the money to come to Disney
This was a wonderful birthday stay for my family! Myself, husband and our 2 year old stayed in the little mermaid room. We were given a king bed as requested and had a pool view. The room was so CLEAN and housekeeping was incredible! We asked our Disney “alexa” for towels, they were brought up right away. One of the lights went out in our room, they had it fixed within minutes. We came back from the parks, our room was spotless and they even decorated our sheets with a huge bow. Our son loved the ariel bathtub and we loved the shower pressure! The hidden mini fridge was perfect to store his milk, bottled waters and leftovers. We loved the Ariel pool and Nemo pool. The skyliner access was great and very fast! The buses were also available quickly and our son loved the themes on them. The cafe was great! We are vegan and if we wanted anything off menu, the chef was more than accommodating! I even got a vegan springtime cupcake for my birthday! We had our car with us, but never even had to leave the resort. The gift shop was great for any souvenirs or getting ears before a park trip. Our son also loved tje arcade, nemo playground, splashpad and all the lion king decor! We didnt get back from the parks early enough to try the smores, but what a fun activity! Check in was fast, friendly and easy! I recommend the refillable cup if you’re going to be drinking more than ice water, definitely worth it! We loved having early entry to the parks and just relaxing in the pools on non park days. We can’t wait to stay here again!
Great hotel for kids. Huge character theme throughout the grounds and hotel. Fun pool activities for the kids (main pool) plus two smaller quiet pools located towards the outside rooms. The Cafeteria offered many options for quick service meals. Disney fun for a lesser price tag than some of the other Disney resorts.
