Excellent diner in the heart of Dexter. My friend and I had the enjoyable experience of sitting on the lovely front patio on a beautiful day. It was fun to people watch outside while still having overhead sun protection with the umbrellas at every table. The breakfast food we order was excellent. My omelette was made with fresh ingredients (ham steak in the ham and cheese omelette) and the hasbrowns were home made potatoes, not the frozen shredded hash you get at other places. We had fresh oj, great coffee, an amazing fruit platter, and the best rice pudding. I highly recommend this place.
The staff here is wonderful! We came here for hot chocolate and then came back for lunch. Gyro was flavorful and fries were fresh! Will return!
For a mom and pop spot like this, they’re incredibly overpriced! We came for breakfast this morning, my husband and I and walked out paying almost $50. We got French toast and a corn beef skillet. Coffee must be about $5 each because our subtotal was about $42.. which already blew our minds. Granted this place is equivalent to a Coney Island. Overall it was alright. Food was alright and the service was good. Don’t think we’ll go back, there are plenty of places around that are just as good but not nearly that expensive.
Absolutely fantastic! Pancakes were perfectly light and fluffy, sausage was delicious! My wife chose the skillet (photo attached) and it was so good, I was FORCED to take a bite. Good coffee, great staff, and family-owned — highest recommendation.
Best breakfast joint in Dexter. Must try! Every time I go here they make you feel like family. The owners help the workers side by side every day to provide an exceptional level of service and high quality diner food for both dining In or taking home. You have to try their biscuits and gravy.
The Dexter Riverview Cafe really epitomizes small town dining... So if you enjoy tasty food (we went for breakfast)served with a smile this is the place for you! We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will return.

This is our new favorite breakfast place, even coming from Ann Arbor. It's low key and nothing fancy, but the staff is super friendly, the food is consistent and tasty, especially the homemade bread, and there's never a wait (at least before 10:30am). And don't pass up the free rice pudding. Plus it's super affordable!
