HORRIBLE. This restaurant is a few blocks from all the commotion of times square. Has both upstairs and downstairs seating. That's all the good stuff.
I was brought here and told the food was great. I wouldn't know cause my experience was terrible. The tall, shaved head male waiter never wrote down any of our orders. The food was not right. I ordered a drink meant to have alcohol and was given a virgin. Had I not brought it to the servers attention I'm sure he would have charged me for a regular drink. Server Never asked to get me the right drink, he just said I thought you wanted a virgin drink and walked away Second my dinner came out separate as opposed to one whole meal. Finally the wings were horrible. No seasoning. Tasted like it was dipped in flour and fried and served to me. After this the manager only took my meal off the bill. I was never given a chance to order something else. Basically left the restaurant hungry and had to go to the bodega to get dinner. Worst experience ever.
In true poor customer service the Server never apologized and the Manager just took my food away, said sorry and never came back to the table.
What an excellent restaurant to have your dinner!! The food is definitely fresh and the tast is 100% authentic. Pricing is really good, especially for NY venue. Fun staff and beautiful location. Will definitely come back and can recommend to any ribs and shrimp lovers. (And our neighbors chicken looked also very good!)
We visited this restaurant in New York and had a mixed experience. The drinks were beyond amazing – huge and satisfying. We ordered non-alcoholic drinks for everyone, from our children to the adults, and we were not disappointed. The drinks were definitely the highlight of our visit.
However, the food did not meet our expectations. It wasn’t the presentation that was lacking, but the overall taste, as it was quite bland and lacked seasoning. Despite this, the atmosphere was pleasant with music playing and interesting portraits and decorations that made for great conversation starters.
Be prepared to wait, especially if you visit during peak times. We went on a Friday night, stumbled upon it in Times Square, and decided to give it a try. I believe visiting at a less crowded time, like a Monday afternoon or a Wednesday, would provide a better experience. During our visit, the chefs seemed rushed, and even our server was running back and forth, which diminished the overall experience.
Despite the food, I would come back, but only during a quieter time of day. The drinks alone are worth it!
If you love a slushy cocktail, go here! We ordered a daiquiri and margarita with corona. We both had a dish from the house specials, amazing flavours and big portions! Service was lovely, you also get free tap water for your table
This is the best restaurant I've ever been to!! Their customer service is exceptional, wait time is unbelievably amazing.. I would have thought that the wait time would be extremely long because of the amount of persons that were seated but it's as if they have workers for every table. The food is top notch! Very scrumptious! Ambience is everything! 10/10 for everything at Dallas BBQ, Times Square.
We were looking for somewhere to have Easter dinner while visiting NYC. While roaming the city a few days prior, we came upon Dallas BBQ. They had a sign out showing some yummy looking drinks, which caught our eye. After looking over the menu we decided on eating here that night. Their was a line outside, but it moved very quickly. When we arrived upstairs, we felt as if we were at a Chuck E Cheese without the games. Kids running everywhere, super open concept, loud, and mostly tables super close together...few booths. We were greeted fairly quickly by our server. He took our drink and app order then came back for our dinner order. I was still deciding on a cocktail as the drink menu had a great selection and I was having a hard time choosing. Our appetizer arrived and 10 mins or so later two sides of Mac and cheese and a taco salad was brought out. Another 10 mins later the rest of the dinners arrived. The Mac and cheese dishes were sides to the dinners that came out later, which was odd. Everything that we ordered was good! Sticky ribs were a hit with my son and the wings were awesome, but could have used some seasoning. All the food was brought out by other servers and we still hadn't seen our server since our food order was taken. All of our drinks were empty so we stopped a passing serving for refills. We sat for about 20 mins after we had finished dinner talking and waiting for boxes....still haven't seen our server since our food order was taken. Finally, my fiancé waived down what we thought was manager asking for boxes and a check. He tried explaining that I had been waiting to order a cocktail and that we hadn't seen our server since our order was taken. The manager had no interest in what we had experienced. He asked what we needed, grabbed the check and boxes and seemed annoyed that we were complaining. We had 2 older teens and a twenty year old...all in which ordered dinners, not kids meals. I have served in my younger years and we tip 25% and sometimes more depending on service. This server NEVER CAME BACK TO OUR TABLE AFTER TAKING OUR ORDER!!!! Where is that even acceptable at? And to top if off, they added $15 gratuity to our check without it being posted anywhere. My fiancé told the manager and the server as we walked out that they better be glad the tip was added, because he would have been the first server we ever stiffed! We got zero service from him and couldn't enjoy our dinner! We were needing refills, napkins, and wanting to order additional items with no service! Shame on the manager for not even acting as if it was a problem that his server didn't provide us with the service we deserved, nor did he even offer any sort of free appetizer or even an apology for the inconvenience! Terrible all the way around! The food was definitely good, but the poor service would probably keep me from visiting again!
Must do in NYC. The place is huge and always packed so get there ahead of peak dining times or you will be standing in a line going down the street! We got there right at opening 11am. We were seated right away. Service was friendly and attentive. The food was good, and prices were reasonable. Big portions, fun atmosphere. Very kid friendly.
Good cocktails, OK food. I had to make reservations for the restaurant because of how busy it usually looks from the outside. It’s huge and we were able to be seated instantly, it took almost 10 minutes for someone to come back and take our order.
The food was out within 5 minutes of ordering, the single rib was soft and the drinks were yum.
There were large groups here but there was a lot of seating space with a nice view of 42nd street.
