I had a medical emergency last week and got airlifted to Dunedin
When I got home with my huge list of medications and asked for blister packs
I was told it would be 2 days, the owner came and spoke to me and I explained what had happened
Above and beyond, I was told that if someone was able to collect by 7.30pm it would be done

I have been to Countdown Chemist twice in two days because of an issue with prescription service between Medical Centre and Chemist. Again I went in it's still not ready. They told me to come back I explained this would be difficult, the woman behind the counter said she will just have to come back. Absolutely no compassion and completely rude.
Incredibly rude staff. Not accomadating at all. Have heard many bad comments about this place. What sounds like an indian man interrupted me today yelling "no, you are not listening" when I was just explaining simple NZ law regarding prescriptions. Have had to deal with this person a handful of times. Good luck to the place and their poor clients.
Front of house counter service can be a game of Roulette, you never know what you're going to get. One particular number is rather abrupt and rude. Goodness knows why her employer didn't drop her off at the School of Exceptional Customer Service we'll ever know. Seems out of character to the other team members as they are great.

I had a great experience, I was greeted by a beautiful Samoan women who had great customer service. She made sure I had everything I needed and answered any questions that I had. she was so polite, I would definitely go back there again.
Arrived right on closing but didn't know this. One staff member was serving a customer and the other one ignored us and went and started closing the doors. When I asked if they were closing, she said "We're closed" in a gruff dismissive manner and then proceeded to berate the other staff member for serving the customer saying she could not serve her because they are supposed to be closed. I think she made the customer leave. In my opinion, her attitude was downright rude. She could have allowed the other customer to finish her transaction and if it was for a prescription, arrange for them to return the next day or direct her to another pharmacy that was open. As for us, she could have been much more polite and apologetic towards us without being rude. The icing on the cake was when we passed her several times around the supermarket afterwards doing her shopping!
Never again. I'll pay for my prescription in future. After 10 minutes in the queue and 5 min searching I was informed that my prescription wasn't ready. That's 1and a half day after receiving the prescription.
