Best WLM Reviews

This is one of the prettiest restaurants I have been inside! It felt like we were in a hotel in Spain! The colors inside are beautiful and I wanted to take a picture of everything I saw! This place was really busy! We were there on a Monday night and it was super packed! Luckily we had reservations so I HIGHLY recommend you to do that for this place. The food was delicious for the most part, my husband ordered the salmon with carrots and rice and it was delicious! I ordered the seafood paella but was a little disappointed at how overly salty my meal was. The actual seafood was terrific, but it was definitely an expensive meal for what it was! But our waitress was the sweetest woman we have ever met, I think her name was Mikaela, and she got us free dessert since we were celebrating our honeymoon and the flan was one of the best parts of this evening!!!
This restaurant was on my list during my visit to St. Augustine.Being vegetarian , menu had pretty decent options but what stole my heart was vegetarian Paella. I had vegetarian Paella at few Spanish restaurant earlier but this was something else.. loaded with black beans, garbanzo beans and lots of veggies. Must try for veggie lovers. Oh not to forget, flan was equally delicious ! It vanished within few seconds.. Overall a must try Columbian affair when visiting St. Augustine!!
If you’re visiting this restaurant, I encourage you to make a reservation. We visited for lunch on a Thursday and thankfully had a reservation because the wait was an hour and a half. The restaurant was packed. It’s surrounded by shops if you need something to do while waiting for a table. Even after being seated, we waited 25 minutes for our drinks. The scallops tapas were incredible and worth the $20. My husband got a Sangria that he enjoyed and I got a Mango Tango drink that was large and refreshing. Our entrees however were very disappointing especially at $32 each. The yellow rice was moist. The grilled snapper was so dry I was not able to eat it. My husband’s stuffed salmon was just okay. Given the service was very slow and the food was marginal we wouldn’t go back.
Just a beautiful, multi-level dining experience!! The facility is gorgeous, the food delicious and the staff very friendly, sharply dressed and just amazing!! Such a fun experience here! Hard to believe it can run so smoothly despite being so large. It feels small and personable despite being large because of the many smaller rooms on the various levels. Best Sangria I have EVER had. Love this place!!
Loved the pitcher of sangria. Glad we got the black bean cakes and soup since the paella took a little (it was too salty for me and the chicken was a touch dry). Tip: don't come for Saturday night as the place was full. Special shout out to our server Jason who has a newborn and both of them share a birthday month with me. FYI: my husband said their flan was the best he ever had. Àlso, they have a gift shop where you can buy the rice and saffron to make your own paella at home.
You can feel full of Spanish vibe✨ I haven't tried any Cuban food before so I wanted to try it here. The welcome bread was sooo AMAZING!! It tastes like just got out of oven. Crispy outside and so soft inside with high quality butter ???? I ordered scallops as an appetizer and It was the best scallop I have ever had, my partner agreed even he doesn't eat any seafood usually. For my main dish I got some lobster linguini and I didn't really liked it because it had some weird taste of lobster. And the Cuban Sandwich my partner didn't like it... but everything else was so nice!
The first time we tried Columbia Restaurant at Ybor City and were very pleased. This time, I made a reservation at St. Augustine. Despite having a reservation, we still had to wait for 10 minutes due to the crowd. The decor and atmosphere were very nice. We sat in the section with a pool, and as soon as we sat down, the service began. This time I tried the Palomilla and really liked it. It was wonderful. Despite the meat being thin, it was cooked very lightly and not tough at all. I ordered plantains on the side, and they paired wonderfully with the meat, salad, and plantains. We were very pleased with the service and the food. Additionally, the gift shops were very nice. We bought a wine cooler, the prices were reasonable. I recommend exploring them after the meal.
Several months prior to our dinner I spoke with the EA at St. Augustine’s restaurant to plan my dear friend’s 60th Birthday. From that point on everything was perfect. She even referred me to a bakery and florist. Our server was on point. Attentive, personable, knowledgeable and efficient! We also had the manager come by to ensure everything was in order. So many menu items were ordered so I don’t know where to start. Every one of us - 16 in our party - loved our food selections. I adored the black bean cakes served with fresh sour cream and guacamole. As a vegetarian of over 30 years I’ve had them out many times. These were by far the best ever. Top notch all around!
