As residents of SY Valley, we love having The Chumash here locally. Although we're not big gamblers, it's still a fun place to visit on a slow night in the Valley, or in the late hours when the rest of the valley has shut done. Willows is an excellent choice for top tier dining in the Valley, and even the food court has some great options at very fair prices. Check out the amazing ceramic wood burning pizza oven. Personal pizzas are a great value and feed two if you're not too hungry. Finally, the Chumash brings in some impressive shows for the location. Arrive early to sample some cocktails (again, fair prices), enjoy the vibe, and make it an evening with a little slot play before leaving.
We love this place, Chumash. We always bring my kids and little cousins and cousins that don't play machines. So they would take their kids to the swimming pool and have fun. But that was years back. Would love to have that back again, because ever since they started selling alcohol by the swimming pool, they don't let kids go swimming anymore. I mean, can kids still swim when they are with adults? Because it's hard to find babysitter and also my kids lives to go and enjoy there also, not just mama bear. PLEASE let the kids swim again????????
I came here years ago and never won anything, same this time. Never saw a handpay vs last Sat at another casino where i saw 5 people get written up on a Sat. (and I won a grand same day). As far as the casino, the smoke is much better, didn't bother me at all, people were nice and it was clean. They had drink waiters and free water bottles in a cooler. Staff was nice and I did see a few older machines I had been missing. No desire to return there tho because of the tight machines. Friends mom also lost as did friend who plays cards. Did not check out the food court. ROOMS: I had a nice room w balcony, very clean. Fridge in room was a nice bonus. No makeup mirror but good light in bathroom. Nice fluffy towels. Bed was ok, pillows were ok. If the slots had been just a tiny bit loose I would go back. We ate in Solvang.
this has been one of the worst vacations I have been on. the staff was harassing me and my guest the whole time. even called beforehand to let them know that our stay was for 5 days and I was bringing a guest with me. the pool without checking ID was telling us we couldn't be there. the casino security didn't want to let us leave again without giving us a problem. the hotel gave us just $25 in food credits but when we went to go spend that we were harassed again by the staff. I tried to call customer care yesterday to resolve the issue and no one got back to till i had to call at 7am the next morning. this led to us having to spend the money for another night i greatly feel we should have been compensated for because of the bad service. we were spending a lot of money here and the slogan is " welcome to freedom and leave your cares at the door" well i don't feel like that's what happened at all. i am very upset with Chumash Casino and Resort and idk when if at all i will be returning. this was highly inappropriate and i am very dissatisfied.
Only stayed one night,but the room was great. Most happy with service, I forgot my insulin in the fridge and we had already checked out. Was downstairs eating breakfast when I remembered. Called the desk they check with housekeeping. And they were able to retrieve my insulin. Thank you so very much. Would definitely return,left a winner no matter how you look at it.

I only would like to see a cafe or buffet that is open into the evening hours. Would love to see a sit down late note breakfast cafe
So the thing is i play a lot of roulette at this casino, i like the atmosphere and “most “ of the staff. Tonight the tables where packed so i decided to go and play small on a machine. It struggle to take my money, only 8 dollars mind you, then it promptly froze up and would cash me a ticket. I wave down an employee, who looked at the logs and told me as he was already walking away that i had lost, and that was it. Ripped off just like that. The way he acted, and his manor of not trying to explain anything just tears it for me. I don’t know if i can get past that. Only 8 dollars you might say. I disagree. I could have been a lot more. I deserve better than this. Too bad.
1st time to this casino. The location of the casino is just beautiful. Right next to Solvang and all the surroundings. Plenty of parking and the casino offers free shuttle from parking structure to casino. Inside the casino was clean and plenty of staff. Casino offers free water bottle through out casino floor. There are plenty of food options, not so much on shopping. Great experience on my first visit
