A cosmopolitan indoor venue, attractive for its diverse products and styles. Showcasing both contemporary and traditional cultural features, the producers here offer an authentic array of global cuisines. This multicultural space is a must-visit, efficiently navigated in a short time.
Chelsea Market is a mixed use historical building in the heart of the city's "meat packing" district. It attracts locals and travelers from around the world, drawn by its diverse offerings of fresh food merchants, retail shops, restaurants and cafes. We found ourselves at the wonderful Bar Suzette for lunch. It's specialty is crepe sandwiches. Our host Louis was incredibly welcoming and helpful that we felt as if we were regulars. Chelsea Market is a must when visiting the city. BTW, it is located just off the 14th St exit of the High Line.
This was an amazing experience. It's definitely a place you need to visit a few times to really get a feel so the whole place. We didn't even go downstairs to see the rest of it. This market has a ton of food options and different kinds of foods, and it has a couple of stores to browse through. There was a book store and souvenir shop. We ended up getting some food from the taco spot (Los Tacos No 1), the Korean (Mok bar), the Indian spot (Chote Miya) , and the donut place (Doughnuttery). We loved every bit of it. We want to go back and try a couple of other places.
Chelsea Market offers a delightful weekend escape. Explore unique shops, unwind in cozy cafes, and discover perfect gifts for yourself and friends. Highly recommend for a charming experience.
Great place for a wander, a drink and a bite to eat. I was visiting New York alone and really wanted something interesting to do one evening when it was raining. Something where I felt safe and where it wasn't going to be obvious I was alone. I didn't fancy the theatre, so this was recommended and what a delight.
Wandering around shops just designed for you to blow money lol. I picked up some souvineers, and had a charc board and fries and a glass of wine downstairs.

Chelsea Market is a great place where you can spend a whole day. They have everything you desire, from small boutique shops to almost every type of food imaginable. My favorite spot is the seafood section – the best oysters, crab, etc. I haven't found better oysters anywhere, even in restaurants I've visited.
It was my first time at this place. My daughter and grandbaby want to take me to this market because they claim it has the best fresh oysters, different options of food, visual and digital art, Asian markets, and many other little shops. Time flies in this place.
