A nice stop along our road trip to stretch our legs and grab a sandwich at the deli. Kids played at the playground, rode a little train that went around a duck pond and antique farm equipment, and the carousel was fun. Buy the tickets at the sweet shop
A very nice place to visit with your family. There was once a very lovely man there who flipped cups. He was termed "The Cup Flipper". He has passed on now but I remember him fondly. My grandparents would use their RV campground and we would stay there for a week every summer. Great memories!!
Love the restaurant. Never stay at the hotel. I see this place every weekend for almost three months every year when I work the Renaissance Faire.

I have been to Casa De Fruta a lot especially to there diner. The diner has great service the waiters have been awesome everytime I go I recommend there burgers there Alfredo pasta is pretty good as well the one time I've gotten it, it was a bit to oily but other than that it was fine. It's a great place to walk around absorb the atmosphere and take the family if your around the area and wanna do something cheap, fun, and local the ice cream shop is definitely a good way to end the day there and overall it's a great place with an awesome experience.
I've been coming here since I was a kid and now I bring my kids. Over the years things have changed but never to the detriment of the passerbys. Clean bathrooms, great food, fun family atmosphere and extremely beautiful. I've come for the festivals and they are great but typically it's just an hour or so long pit stop during road trips.
What an awesome place to stop and park you truck. Restaurant was amazing. Prime rib and the roll that comes with it absolutely the best.
I have never stayed at the hotel, but ever since I was a baby, when my family would go visit my grandparents in Bakersfield we would stop here. This place brings back childhood memories and happiness. The train that goes around has been there for years and years! The peacocks are beautiful. The fruit at the stand is phenomenal. The playground and carousel are great for kids to get some playtime in during a long drive as well!
My husband and I have been there twice and never are we disappointed by the restaurant and all the other things they have to offer. Took our 3 year old Granddaughter and she loved their pancakes. You can also get fresh produce and ice cream and things for kids to do and see.
