My visits to Carlo's Bakery in Times Square were a delightful treat! In 2022, I tried the dark chocolate mousse cake, which was rich, creamy, and absolutely decadent. The flavors blended beautifully, making it a perfect indulgence. Fast forward to 2023, I decided to try the rainbow cake for the first time, and it did not disappoint! The vibrant layers were not only visually stunning but also bursting with flavor, bringing a joyful vibe to my day. Sharing these sweet moments with my dad made the experience even more special. Carlo's Bakery truly offers a wonderful selection of desserts that keep me coming back for more! ????????????????
Would be a 5 star, but "were cash only" sunk that. Then the prices changed. So, now, aside from that, the place itself looks very clean with a nice art decko ceiling. Everything in here is really pretty. The food's service was good otherwise. The strawberry cheesecake had a dry taste to a cake batter, not $11 worthy. The food kinda sorta tasted like the machine stuff we got in Ohio, but leaves a powdery feeling.
Great location in the middle of Times Square and large variety of desserts offered. The employees didn’t appear to want to be working there so that accounts for the lower rating. Carlos bakery has the reputation of being joy-filled, with friendly service and amazing desserts but we didn’t have that experience. My husband loved the tres leches and the tiramisu was good. It is fun to walk into the store - very lively. Maybe hire people that enjoy working there and like tourists ;)
I had high hopes for Carlo’s Bake Shop at the Port Authority Bus Terminal, but unfortunately, my visit was disappointing. The service left much to be desired — the staff seemed disinterested and lacked the enthusiasm to make customers feel welcome or satisfied. While the Lobster Tail and Classic Cannoli we tried were delicious, the Lobster Tail was disappointingly small .To make matters worse, the coffee I ordered was not hot, which was quite frustrating. Overall, the experience was underwhelming, and I can't recommend it if you're looking for good service and a satisfying coffee break
I love this place, walking through the streets of New York I had no plan to enter here. However, I saw the picture of Buddy Valastro on the shop and then … I remembered the times when my family and I watched your program on TV.
I used to watch and finally I could try these sweets.
Everything is delicious! ????❤️
I watch buddy’s show cake boss growing up and because of him I became a baker and cake artist. I have always dreamt on visiting his outlet and I finally did. U can imagine my hopes and expectations but my first bite was a spiral of disappointment. I’m not sure of the standards of the cakes in nyc but that cupcake was super dry with sugary frosting that is sweet with no flavor, the canoli filling was tasteless and again just tasted like sugar and the pastry that was suppose to be their signature is something you could find from a 3 star hotel breakfast buffet. I am so disappointed and I didn’t want to leave a bias review just because they are famous but my childhood dream is ruined ????
Perfectly located at Times Square and can enjoy the desserts. I really liked the interiors of the store which was really impressive. Going with the demand and long queues is good example to reflect the taste of food which gets delivered here.
As a pastry chef I know that there are very processed products and I had always wanted to go to this place it was a dream for me to fulfill I advise you to try the lobster are delicious and a coffee a good match the service is not so good because I'm used to another type but I still recommend
