Best WLM Reviews

Atmosphere- 4 Stars- This cafe has a lot of history- been here since 1862. It was crowded and loud but that is to be expected on a lively Friday afternoon.
Service- 5 Stars- Even though this place was super busy we were almost immediately given attention by our awesome waitress- Edie. She was on the ball and had a wonderful personality. Very attentive and quick on her feet but took her time to talk to us and make us feel welcome.
Food- 5 Stars- we got the famous Beignets and some cold white milk to wash them down. They were hot out of the oven and so good!! Would definitely come here again if we get the chance!!
Ironic.
We went late in the afternoon, walked right in, and sat down. Other times, we've seen a pretty massive line.
The service was extremely fast and friendly. The food was good. Just wear clothes you don't mind getting powdered sugar on. It is inevitable you'll get it on your clothes.
As a tourist, it was fun to visit and check off our list. I don't think we'd regularly go back.
I enjoyed my experience at Cafe Du Monde. Bring cash, no credit cards. The Beignets were delicious. An overwhelming amount of powdered sugar - which was perfect. The chicory coffee was new to me, but I tried it. Ambiance was nice - arrived when opened at 7:15am and musicians were already playing on the sidewalk. Highly recommend.
I do not know if it gets any more NOLA than this. (CASH ONLY) I was told, that this is the home of the Beignet. If that is true, it makes sense! The atmosphere was fantastic, even a street performer (very talented one at that) was outside, so it was like a show and a snack. The Beignets were amazing. Everything one could want in one. Fluffy, crunchy and hot. NOT lacking on powdered sugar topping either, lol. If anything, make sure NOT to wear black while dining. The waiter was entertaining, and informative, had good suggestions, and was plenty attentive. The cash-only part was well advertised, so to the people complaining about that...that's on you! You should've read the signs, or reviews, or listened to the people AT THE DOOR! lol. The coffee had a distinct flavor with the Chicory. Strong and it went super well with the beignets. Overall, I think it is a must see for any first timer to NOLA!
We visited here after dinner and walked straight up to the window to order - no queue. We ordered a 3 pack of beignets to share and were advised that it was okay to eat them at the tables if we wished.
They were definitely delicious and still very hot! I must admit I have never seen so much powdered sugar on a dish before!
All up glad we tried them but one bag was enough for us both to enjoy a treat from such a historical place!
Note: It is cash only here
Cash only. Stopped by here because it’s such an iconic place in New Orleans. I thought it looks too sweet but it’s actually nice with non-sweet ice latte. Busy but so many tables so you should be fine.
Not a bad spot to pass by. Beignets are freshly fried. Good to eat with any coffee. It’s popular during weekdays, so I assume it takes longer wait during weekend. They only sell beignets with drinks, so the wait won’t be too long. Better to eat there with fresher taste and avoid the sugar powder to drop everywhere in the car. They only take cash and there are only 2 restrooms in the cafe. The price is pretty fair, 3 beignets for $3.85.Recommend people to drop by, not visit as main purpose.
Beignets were not very good. Iced coffee was decent. Tables were dirty. Trash on the floor. Service sucked. Guy came over and we asked about a menu and he gave us the napkin holder and walked away. He sat near the entrance on his phone and never looked up so we had to go get him to get our order. Now he mentioned that it was cash only.
