This place is amazing! Beautifully decorated, I can feel the authentic Mexican vibe, even though I've never been to Mexico. We went on the weekend and it was crowded, but the staff worked so fast - or maybe it was because we made reservations - all I could see was a long line waiting for seats! The food was great, even though I don't know much about Mexican food, but it's my husband's favorite, and the staff are friendly!
The MOST AMAZING tortilla shells we’ve ever had!!! We bought 30 shells and traveled 2,500 miles home to share with our kids. This a popular place and for good reason. This is real authentic Mexican food. Beer was nice and cold.
This place was recommended to me by a local for getting authentic Mexican food. I got the Baja fish tacos which came with rice and beans. The food was good but nothing special. There were beautiful decorations and plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces. It wasn’t too busy on a Friday at 11am and the service was great. Overall would recommend!
This place was great! It was super busy and they were able to sit our party of eight immediately. The chips and salsa were amazing. Very fresh and just the right spicy level. Service was good. He took very good care of us. We tried a variety of things and loved them all. I highly recommend this place. Can’t wait to return.

Awesome venue and vibe from the place. Exceptional service and wait staff. Beautiful area and just overall a great place to be. However I was not impressed by the actually food. But this won't stop me from going again just to experience the vibes.
Probably hands down my favorite place I went to while visiting San Diego! It’s located in old town which is a great place to visit as well. The burrito was GREAT and the atmosphere was great. The restaurant itself is huge and very aesthetically pleasing. The service wasn’t the best because they were so busy. But overall still a great experience
A local resident in San Diego recommended Cafe Coyote as a very authentic Mexican restaurant. The food was delicious. We parked for free a few blocks off the main street. We enjoyed sitting on the patio, which has great coverage of warmers for a cooler evening. I had chips and salsa and queso and chicken and potato tacos. Everything was great from the friendly and efficient service to the freshness, taste, and quantity of food. My only complaint is I live in the Midwest and can't easily go back.
