Best WLM Reviews

During our recent trip to New York, we decided to dine at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., conveniently located in the bustling Times Square. Upon entering the first floor, known as Gump Gear, we encountered a long but well-organized line. Impressively, we only waited about 10 minutes before our names were called.
We were then directed to a second line on the restaurant's second floor, which was managed efficiently by the restaurant staff. Within less than five minutes, we were seated at our table.
The restaurant's decor is charming, designed to resemble a West Coast fisherman’s warehouse with a vintage, rustic barn look. The ambiance is enhanced with various memorabilia from the movie "Forrest Gump." Our booth seating was particularly cool, featuring personalized U.S. license plates. A clever touch: a blue "license plate" signals to servers that everything is fine at your table, while a red sign indicates you need assistance.
Despite the restaurant being crowded, our server was incredibly friendly and swift. She managed her tables efficiently without compromising on service quality. We ordered the original shrimp, calamari, and rice. The dishes were delightful, reminiscent of familiar Asian flavors, and the steamed rice complemented the meal perfectly.
Towards the end of our meal, we participated in trivia questions, which added a fun element to our dining experience. Despite having watched "Forrest Gump" more than ten times, we had a "fart-brain" moment and couldn’t recall the answers. It was all in good humor, and our server was both nice and helpful throughout.
Overall, we had a great time at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. and will definitely be returning. The combination of excellent service, enjoyable food, and a fun atmosphere made for a memorable dining experience.
Bubba Gump Shrimp is a fantastic spot for seafood lovers! From the moment you step in, you're greeted with a fun and lively atmosphere inspired by the classic 'Forrest Gump' film. The menu is brimming with delicious seafood options, with shrimp dishes being the undeniable highlight. Each dish we tried was cooked to perfection, bursting with flavor and freshness. The service was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. The playful decor and interactive elements, like the trivia, make dining here a memorable and entertaining experience. Whether you're a movie fan or simply looking for great seafood, Bubba Gump Shrimp is a must-visit!
I loved this restaurant! It was really great the whole environment, and the view! Was awesome. You can eat while you take a great Times Square’s view! There is a way you can call the waiters you have to put the Run Forrest Run plate on red. They will be right there, they have multiple different plates with and without shrimp but also with chicken, lobster. And alcohol cocktails they have an entire menu. The food was good! If your in town I would suggest you to visit this restaurant. Beautiful.
202404 Old memories turned downhill reality. Sad portion. Sad soggy fries. Sad tough onion ring. Shrimp “tempura” batter far too oily.
The Cajun seasoning for the steamed shrimp and the fried shrimp still taste good.
Steamed broccoli is green and decent.
Service is friendly but really slow and not attentive enough even out of peak hour.
I was so excited to eat here - certainly my favorite movie and so it brought up some cool emotions about the film. We were seated quickly - even though it was such a busy time. Did not have to wait long before orders were taken. Exceeded expectations - being in the city and such a touristy area, I thought it might be a problem. Food was great and I'd gladly go again.
We been this restaurant on January.Delicious seafood verities, Service staff was really helpful and lovely. Nice atmosphere .You can see times square Billboards view from the Restaurant while having your meal. Highly recommended!!
We were in the area and needed a sit down restaurant to have some food. Bubba was close by and it did not disappoint. We were seated within 5 minutes of arriving and the view was fantastic. For a touristy spot, I had very little expectation but was impressed with the food. The steak tasked great, the shrimp was tasty, and the appetizer was flavorful. Highly recommend the restaurant! The service was friendly as well.
I recently had dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co on Broadway, next to the Hard Rock Cafe and across from One Times Square, with friends visiting from Europe. There were six of us, and we went on a Wednesday night with a reservation for 6:30 PM. I highly recommend making a reservation if you plan to go for dinner, as it got quite crowded soon after we sat down.
The service was excellent, and our waiter, Juan, was really funny and attentive. The restaurant has a unique system with stop-and-run signs for the waiters, making it easy to get their attention without having to chase them down.
We started with the Run Across America sampler, which was good but slightly overpriced. Our other orders included the Ahi Poke Stack, Fried Shrimp, Maker's Mark Glazed Salmon, Beyond Burger, and All-American Cheeseburger. The portions were large, and we had enough food, so we did not order any dessert, tea, or coffee. For drinks, we had Coke, Pinot Grigio, Heineken, Tiki Rider, and Paradise Tiki. Drinks from the list You Keep the Glass are served in nice glasses, which you can take home.
The atmosphere was enjoyable, with sweet background music. The whole place was decorated with photos/scenes from the movie "Forrest Gump", which brought back some sweet memories. The restaurant is located on the second floor, offering a nice view of Broadway, especially beautiful when it gets dark and the lights come on. There's also a souvenir store on the first floor.
Overall, we liked the atmosphere and the accommodating environment. It's a great place to bring first-time visitors to New York or friends from out of town, as it offers traditional American food, mainly seafood, but also meat and chicken. I would recommend this place to everyone.
