You get treated like cattle at a really opulent farm. I reserved a room with one king bed on a Friday night. At check-in they said they oversold king rooms and I would have to take a room with two queens. |I go to Old Homestead at 9:45pm. Am immediately told that the kitchen closes at 10pm and I would have to order food right away if I wanted to eat. Ordered food and a scotch; the bartender said he's never heard of that brand, despite the fact it was listed on the menu. After a few minutes of him looking around he found it.|Proceed to Long Bar, where I have two drinks before last call is made at 11:30pm.|Walk around the casino, and the only bar that's open is the circular one with video poker. It was packed to the gills, because that was seemingly the only thing to do at that time besides gamble.|I play blackjack for a while, which was fine. I did, in fact, get drinks while playing.|Went to bed around 2am, woke up hungry. Go to the Sports Bar at 11am looking for a burger... am told the kitchen doesn't open until noon.|I decide to drive to another casino, which actually has restaurants open at 11am.||While most casinos have evolved away from gambling, the Borgata seems to double-down on gambling being the main event. Food and beverage is apparently an afterthought to them which they only offer begrudgingly.
We went to see the master comic Jerry Seinfeld . He, as well as The Borgata, did not disappoint. The Borgata is a beautiful resort. Every area was clean. Staff was incredibly friendly. You can tell that they are highly trained in customer satisfaction. Using the MGM app is easy. It allows you to check in 24 hours before . For this stay, an upgrade was available to me a couple hours before check-in at a very low price. The newly renovated room was enormous- 700 ft.² of luxury. Beds were comfortable, living area was beautiful bathroom was spacious. And my beautiful wife was so happy! Thanks Borgata
Borgata is not only a beautiful casino, but it is very clean and the staff are very accommodating! The views from my room were fabulous! The food in the restaurants was excellent and of good value! The pool and spa areas are fantastic as well! Lots of games in the casinos for the novice to the very High stake players!
Our experience at this hotel was pleasant. Easy check in process, self parking, amenities, and decent customer service. Wasn't impressed with the food court, nor the food there but overall not bad. The only downside to this hotel was the fact that you could hear everything. You can hear the people's conversations, the TV, the shower, flushing of the toilet, etc. Rough nights due to people coming back to their rooms drunk and being obnoxious but overall it was a pleasant stay. Side note, the scent in this hotel is amazing so much so that me and my husband bought the signature scent for our home.
Our room was clean, the hallways as well. The casino floor, except for the smoking areas, was surprisingly clean considering the number of people that go through there. The close proximity of some non-smoking and smoking areas were too close. Or the exhaust systems were not working properly. I would recommend this hotel.
The Borgata is a great place to stay even for someone like me that doesn’t gamble. The staff are amazing! The SPA is excellent and there are plenty of places to eat and grab a drink. I was in town for a conference and it was easy to get to all of the other locations hosting events during the conference.
The Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa was amazing. has a great selection of restaurants to eat after a full night of gambling. They have a nice selection of fancy to more casual restaurants. I think the food quality and price were great. I had a great time with my girlfriend. I would recommend it if you are in NJ and want a good hotel with great amenities and food options
We decided to spend a week taking nights at 3 casino hotels, We choose a 3, 4 and a 5 star hotel with Borgata being the 5-star. Overall Impression:
