Best WLM Reviews
Great place for a nice dinner near Fisherman’s Wharf. We visited the city with our family, and it was a great night for soup in the sourdough bread bowl. Their bread was as good as I expected, and I highly recommend it. Our server was outstanding, and the environment is very nice. The location is great as well. Our group tried different dishes, and everyone was happy with their selections. I was pleased with the options on the menu, and they had a great drink and beer list. They also have a nice gift shop and museum at the place on the premises. Is it touristy? I guess, but in a good way! You won’t be disappointed!
Smells from 2-3 blocks before the location. Amazing place. Bread and baked goods with a 150-year-old sourdough? Yes, please! Delicious. They also have souvenirs. A small cafe on the first floor and a restaurant on the second floor (elevator available). Prices were reasonable, and it was not very crowded. Plenty of space, with views of the bay. I wish they offered more sweet bakes. The service is very fast, and staff do a lot to be efficient and move clients out if the line fast.
Boudin Bakery: The Taste of San Francisco
Boudin Bakery is a must-visit in San Francisco. From the moment you step inside, the smell of freshly baked sourdough welcomes you, setting the tone for an unforgettable experience.
Their signature sourdough bread bowls with creamy clam chowder or sweet corn chowder are absolute perfection—comforting, flavorful, and satisfying. Don’t miss their adorable bread creations shaped like animals or the selection of sweet treats at the bakery counter.
With its cozy atmosphere, stunning bay views, and shelves filled with unique gifts and local products, Boudin offers more than just a meal—it’s a taste of San Francisco’s heart and history.
I stopped by to try their oysters and was able to be seated upstairs near the window which was perfect to watch the air show during fleet week. I didn’t have to wait for a table. I got a 1/2 dozen oysters and a hazy IPA. Didn’t realize it came with a side of their infamous sourdough bread. Would’ve loved to try the clam chowder but ate lunch elsewhere so was a bit full to try it. Would recommend if you want a nice place to sit and look at the water.
We had an excellent time at the Boudin restaurant. The waiter was fantastic and gave us great recommendations. Two of us got the crab cake sandwich and it was absolutely mouth-watering. That was probably the best thing we ate. We also tried the margarita pizza, which was delicious, and the chowder in the sourdough bowl was as amazing as you would hope.
All in all we left very full and satisfied. Be prepared to spend a ton of money as it is a hot tourist spot, but this is a rare situation where the food merits the price.
If you love sourdough, then this place is a must! Clam chowder- phenomenal! Crab and corn bisque- delicious! Grab some bread to go while there at the bakery side downstairs. The Bistro is upstairs and is very Nice with views of the Fisherman's Wharf!
It's always nice to bring visitors from outside of San Francisco! ???? The signature clam chowder soup with sourdough bowl ???? is always great to try. The sourdough pizza is also my favorite.
I ordered the steamed clam for the first time, it was brilliant too! ????
The service is always excellent for the guests, too.
I recommend making a reservation online before you hit there! Also, you can ask to keep a table with an Alcatraz view at the window seat ????
If you don’t intend to come here, you will change your mind as you walk past and smell the bread being baked!
The menu is just nice hearty food especially the sourdough bowl soups. Service is also good and very quick. Definitely recommend.
