It was my first time coming to this casino. I only came to this casino due to them having a 'Chocolate Expo' convention here that i attended. From what I saw, it's pretty big, and it's also pretty easy to navigate throughout the casino. It does smell like cigarettes everywhere (including the areas you're not supposed to smoke in). It was farely quiet, not fully packed (I've gone on a Saturday between the hours of 4-6pm).
There's 1 other 1 I went to this hotel because i got a spa package from my boss and my husband decided to rent me a room so i didn't have to drive home. The customer service at the front desk of the hotel was awful. My husband had set up the reservation for me. A couple days in advance and sent in a credit card authorization form, so he could book the room for me. The night before he doubled checked with the hotel to make sure everything was set with the rese Reservation.
When I arrived at the hotel to Check-in. I waited in line for what seemed like forever because the people behind the desk were chit chatting with each other. When I finally was called on to be helped, they told me that there was no note in my account. And that I couldn't use my husband's credit card.
I informed them that there was an authorization formed signed. I had a copy of it in my bag and I also had the emails that my husband had forwarded to me. They were not very accommodating and made it seem like I was bothering them. I'm assuming it was the manager that came over. She had a very bad attitude very snappy.
The only thing I can say about the hotel is. The rooms were really nice. Although from the hours of 10:30 PM to the hours of 3 AM, it sounded like there was a party going on in the hallway. Safe to say I'll be returning to the spa but I won't be returning to the hotel
It was simple to park. The walk was a little farther than I like when I am going home after dark. The parking is not well lit. As well as arrows directing traffic flow. There's no parking garage. Keep an umbrella on hand.
I have previously stayed in the hotel and it was clean, not a ton of staffing but comfortable.
I have enjoyed the spa as well. They have an amazing hotel package that is special for the spa offering a generous compensation pet night stayed in the hotel.
Overall it's so much different than it was in the previous 20 years or so. Changing all the time and improvements coming.
If you are looking to inhale 2nd hand smoke all day and smell like smoke when you leave come to this dump! There is a non smoking section but you either have to walk thru the smoke to get there or find the secret door to get there from outside. When you do get to non smoking tables are limited to like 5. If you want to eat you have to walk through the gross smoke area to get to it. Feel bad for the employees there that have to put up with that on a daily basis. Shows the casino cares more about profits than their staff and patrons.
Positive: The room was clean and well maintained. The one staff person working was very friendly and helpful. Negative: Charged a $28 resort fee when this is NOT a resort in any way. Have to walk through a disgusting smoke filled casino in order to get to any restaurants of which there are a limited option and all are overpriced and charge a dine-in fee. Won't come back. Went on a Fri morning with a work group. Entered the West entrance and headed to the non-smoking game room. Unfortunately, people playing poker were smoking and walking around holding lit cigarettes. We went downstairs to see if it was bearable but it wasn't. It's a nice place. Friendly staff and clean, but disappointingly there isn't a true non-smoking section.
Went there to meet friends but they got lost. We walked around and the casino, hotel, food courts and other places were set up great and I would go back when we have time. I would recommend checking the place out for yourself.
Place is very nice room smells really good they have a open pool and gym check out is at 12pm which is great. They have a small kitchen in room with small cute pull out table and curtain to split down from bed and couch for privacy. Definitely will be coming back. Free breakfast and free coffee and tea.
