Best WLM Reviews

Visited in May 2024 under a convention rate.||Upon arrival I was told that the 2-bed Double room I had booked and paid a deposit for was not available. I specifically asked if there were no rooms of that type available anywhere in the hotel to honour my reservation. I was informed that, if I wanted to stay in the Atlanta Marriott Marquis, the only accommodation available for me and my party was a 1-bed King room. All other local hotels were fully-booked, and so no alternatives were available for me to book for myself; this also meant there were no local alternatives for the hotel to 'walk' me to under the Marriott Bonvoy Ultimate Reservation Guarantee for Gold members. As I was visiting from overseas and couldn't simply go home, my party and I were therefore left with no option but to take the incorrect room, or else spend 4 nights in the city without accommodation. I asked if a roll-away bed could be provided to avoid my party having to share one bed, and I was told that this would be provided shortly.||The roll-away bed did not arrive. On the morning after night 2 I asked about the progress of this request and was informed there were no roll-away beds available at the hotel. I asked who I could speak to and raise a complaint about the situation, and I was informed that I could complete the guest survey after check-out. While the front desk staff were friendly enough to speak to, it was clear they were not going to provide any resolution to the situation while I was actually on-property.||After check out I completed the guest survey and wrote to Marriott Customer Service raising all the issues I have presented in this review. As a final response to my complaint, I was informed that they considered awarding 15k Marriott points to be adequate recognition of the issues I experienced. They consistently referred to my pre-paid reservation for a 2-bed Double room as a 'request', which was not accurate - as a deposit payment had been made, the room type was guaranteed by contract. There was therefore no recognition that Marriott had breached the reservation agreement in this situation, as the language used consistently referred to good will, inconvenience, and implied I should not have expected to receive what I had paid a deposit for.||At each opportunity where I sought resolution, both the hotel and Marriott Customer Service minimised the issue I experienced, and did not provide any means of resolving or even mitigating their error. At a baseline I expect a hotel to provide the room type booked, especially when a deposit has been paid on that room in advance. To have failed to have provided what was paid for, and to fail to recognise the gravity of such an error and its effect on my experience while visiting the city, demonstrated a poor approach toward guest issues that would make me think twice about choosing this hotel in the future.
I stayed at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis for a three-day summit in 2019, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! The rooms were not only spacious and comfortable but also beautifully appointed with modern amenities that made my stay truly enjoyable. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a sense of luxury that set the tone for the entire experience.
The food options were exceptional, with a variety of delicious dishes available at every meal. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the culinary offerings were top-notch and perfectly complemented by attentive service.
Beyond the accommodations and dining, the Marriott Marquis impressed me with its attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction. The facilities were immaculately maintained, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my stay was nothing short of amazing.
I highly recommend the Atlanta Marriott Marquis to anyone visiting the area. Whether for business or leisure, it's the perfect destination for a comfortable and memorable stay.
The Atrium area is amazing. Staff at the front desk and concierge were really friendly and accommodating. But that’s it. They should really change the carpets near the lift areas and the corridors. It was not a house keeping issue. Those corridors yearns for a renovation. And it’s the first time I came across a hotel with no complementary water bottles in the rooms. The rooms did not feel like marquis.
This place is honestly the best for vibes and location.
The staff is always on point and you should be aware that there's always something going on here.
If you're planning an event of any type then you should know Marriott is the place.
If you're planning on staying here it wouldn't hurt to ask if there are any events planned during your stay just so you're not shell shocked.
The selection of food and drinks from the pulse bar to sear, all in the atrium, is amazing if a bit pricey but worth it for not having to leave the hotel.
The staff is phenomenal and I love to give credit where credit is due.
The wonderful gentleman Lakendrick helped us load up our stuff so we could check out quickly and easily.
He was totally a life saver and what would've been a 30 min fiasco of getting everything together and down to the car was instead a 5 minute elevator ride and vehicle load up.
A perfect ending to a perfect stay.
I look forward to my next stay with them here.
Rooms are nice and clean with great desk set up and plug ins. Staff at front desk is super helpful.
Restaurants have a great selection of food. That said, I went to dinner and ordered dessert to go. They gave me the wrong one. Breakfast was absolutely slow. Waited in line for 20 minutes and it was half empty. Greeters were not welcoming and zero sense of urgency.
Stayed here over the weekend, the first step into the hotel and i was just shook at how amazing the hotel looks. Its so big inside and there are fountains all over, just very nice hotel.
Everyone knows the MOST important part of a hotel, is their team. And this hotel has THE BEST team
I checked in with a girl at the front desk named Vee and she was the sweetest ever! Super nice, helped me with all the questions and my mom’s questions she was amazing! Having the first impression be her set up the stay to be amazing! She also informed us about we could get tickets to the aquarium through the hotel so i did grab those too!
The room was nice, view was chef kiss
We ordered dinner, they originally messed up the order but they fixed it asap and gave us a cheesecake
Valet was superb, they were patient and nice! They opened doors for us, they put our luggage in the trunk just going above and beyond!
No matter where i was in this hotel, i was greeted by all staff, they were all fantastic
Overall the stay was great, the hotel is beautiful, the staff is the best i have seen at any hotel or really any establishment.
Pleasant experience overall. Services were quick across the board but housekeeping which was slower than expected. Fantastic breakfast, variety of options, all delicious. A special mention to Hayley (Han) at the reception desk, she not only smoothly handled our check-in but adeptly assisted our external logistics. Her professionalism made our stay both pleasant and welcoming.
Had the pleasure of staying here for a conference. Fabulous staff. Every single person interacted with was friendly, helpful, and professional. The lobby is so stunning, it stopped me in my tracks. And for such a big place, the elevators are very quick to come when called and get you to your destination. The rooms are modern, updated, clean, and have amazing views of the city. Great location for our outside trips. Loved it!
