Spectacular building design. Dated facilities. Very poorly managed.
Event planners - you do NOT want to have your event here.
There are some nice views from the hotel, but the view from our room was a dirty concrete wall five feet away. The interior glass elevators were nice, but guests are not allowed to ride them, even with a key card, except to your own floor. Since we got placed on the first floor, we didn't get to ride them up unless we attached ourselves to other guests.
There were some staff members that were very friendly, but the front desk staff was generally unfriendly, unaccommodating and even rude. There was usually one staff member at the desk serving 1660 rooms, so there was ALWAYS a 30-45 minute wait just to talk to somebody.
Many of the rooms had broken equipment--closet rods, etc. There was one chipped and peeling chair in our room, and one clothing drawer, for room for four guests. There was LOTS of trash on the interior stairwells, enough to fill multiple garbage bags. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a year. We frequently walked through a funky cloud of marijuana smoke in the stairwell and in the hallway.
The hotel negotiated our event contract in bad faith, and did not honor the terms of our contract. This caused our group thousands of man hours and tens of thousands of dollars in damages.
Could they not afford one single sign to tell people where to go for the parking?
Dishonest in their billing practices as well. We got triple charged for our parking. Charged it to the room double, and then refused to give our car back until we paid a third time at the valet parking retrieval.
Overall, this was a hotel that used to be nice, but poor (and less than honest) management made for a very poor experience.
Checked in very late on 12/7 front desk staff was very pleasant. Got to room had red juice stain on carpet in 3 areas. I was hoping that it was not vomit. Rooms are on the smaller side. Lighting is not the best one light bulb kept coming on and off. Never have I seen a toilet left up after cleaning the room that was done 2x .. when requested extras in the app such as pillows or blankets, it was a delay, and I had to call to get it .. iron in the room leaked and was burned on the bottom. I asked for a replacement.. It took so long that I was late for my meeting because my clothes needed to be pressed. Had to have my keys reprogrammed 2x and saw other guests with the same issues, even though it was kept in the key card holder and kept away from my phone and other credit cards. Don't like that they automatically charge you a donation fee on the card. I would prefer staff to ask me if I want to make a donation.
My band and I had an amazing experience staying here. The rooms were clean, facilities were in great condition, and it had excellent value.
The staff went above and beyond to accommodate my needs, and they were very friendly! They set the bar high and never ceased to put a smile on my face.
Shout out to Steven who went out of his way to assist us at the hotel. He made our stay an excellent experience and we’re grateful for his services!
Wonderful location downtown, everything was within walking distance. They had a water line break—immediately started offering bottled water, gave us options to delay checking in and worked quickly to resume normal service. The bed is very comfortable. Nice pool which connects indoor and outdoor. Meeting facilities were set up well and easy to access.
Beautiful hotel in a great location. I was attending a conference at the World Congress Center, and it was a quick walk from the hotel. My room was excellent with nice touches. It had plenty of room, and I liked the couch seating area with the table. The bed is comfortable, and I loved the floor to ceiling wall of windows overlooking Atlanta. The bathroom was well appointed with glass sliding doors on the shower. There were nice amenities in the hotel, such as Starbucks and restaurants. There are also many nice restaurants within a 5 minute walk of the hotel. I will be back here for my next trip!
I just attended an SBDC convention there and had to share my amazing experience. I was there for 7 days and experienced all that goes with attending a convention as well as using various services.
The front desk staff was so fun, engaging and welcoming. Any time I had a question they answered it quickly and fully. Any time I ran into housekeeping or maintenance in the hallways they were beyond friendly and helpful .
The reason I didn’t give 5 stars for the room was that the bathroom floor had not been cleaned any my room (241) had an ugly and dirty concrete wall outside my window so no view. That spot would make a better spot for house keeping storage than a paying guest.
Overall a good stay.
Stayed there for 2 nights.
Got a room with sky view at 35th floor.
Hotel has good amenities and ambiance.
But, room service didn’t answer our call the first day. No toothpaste in room or bathroom slippers.
We had no hot water and had to call to get it turned on. Husband took a cold shower.
5$ + 20% gratuity charge for regular room order.
Spa service were closed due to some internal problem.
Rooms were well maintained and clean.
Housekeeping was prompt.
The room was very nice, clean, up to date we had a wonderful view of the city as well. The service was second to none everyone was friendly and very helpful. Keep in mind you will have to pay for valet parking but it is very convenient and safe and is worth the money. If you're in Atlanta this is a great place to stay
