Stayed in one of the 4 bedroom cabins with 2 other families. They are a little older but we're nice enough. Didn't spend much time inside, as there was so much to do outside. Volleyball pit, basketball goal, of course swimming and fishing in the river, and stores in the fire pit. Highly recommend.
Been going here for years and this will be my last we floated in a raft as usual but all I smelt was pot and the Hispanics were playing there loud music and had there pit bull's that were Not nice!! My family and I had always enjoyed floating and even staying the weekend but they have lost control of their park's and will Not be returning until they get a handle on things.
I have not stayed in a room, but I have used Arrowhead for many years as my Floating choice. I book 6 mile floats for myself, my family, and my coworkers. They are always very nice and friendly. They are a great group to book with which is why I have stuck with them for around 20 years. Yes I have tried 3 or 4 of their competitors (just for the opportunity to see a different area of the river or I wasn’t the one doing the booking) and I have always come back to them (when I book). ❤️
Beds suck. The queen bed had no support, so you instantly roll to the center of the mattress when you lay down. The mattresses on the bunk beds are not real mattresses. Chairs inside are plastic patio chairs. Great location though, nice staff, decently priced.
The resort is pretty far north up the river compared to many other resorts. But rest assured the experience is way better than the others. Clean facilities and not near as crowded as the others. Which makes for a more relaxed getaway.
Our family rented out the big cabin with bunk house. Shuffleboard...basketball court. Hot water and great ac. One drawback. Water in all sinks and showers smelled like sulfur. We couldn't use it to cook with or drink. The cabin was clean. But we used bottled water for cooking and everything. Not sure if water could be helped but I'd say please check the water system. We had 24 people in total there from Fri to sunday.
Absolutely love this place. My friends, family, have been coming here for over 4 decades. Every time is more enjoyable than the last. Looking forward to many more years of floating the river and staying with Arrowhead Resort.
Arrowhead Resort in Tahlequah, OK, exceeded expectations on a busy holiday weekend. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful, contributing to a pleasant experience. The campground was clean, and the facilities were well-maintained and stocked. There were plenty of activities to enjoy. The campsites were great, and the float trip was awesome, offering a peaceful and quiet experience. Having visited this river many times for floating, this first visit with Arrowhead has ensured future business with them.
