Delightful restaurant offering Italian and Greek dishes in addition to a full pizza menu! The Plato Hot Sub was delicious and quite filling. Forewarning - portion sizes are very large, so plan to share!! Right across from the Capitol building - just a few minutes walk on foot.
I knew Poppy from the 1970’s. He would be ashamed of his heirs. Just a takeout pizza on a Tuesday with very few customers evening was so rushed that the way to salty pizza was smashed by the lid. In other words The pizza master threw it in the box and smashed it with a heavy hand. I should have learned by now. I would suggest Casey’s Pizza. At least they care and the pizza has more flavors other than salt and garlic. Nasty stuff.
Enjoyed the manicotti with red sauce. Very tasty and reasonably sized portion. Side salad could have had less shredded cheese on it but otherwise tasted fresh. Other members of the party ordered the pizza and they looked excellent. Service was excellent for a party of 12.
Met some people there for lunch. It is a nice little pizza place. Thin pizza with hard edges and soft interiors. Kind of like the store bought ones we have at home in the freezer. Around $12 after tax plus tip for the buffet. The food was ok, but it was buffet food nothing too exciting and not a huge choice but for $12 that is fine. The tables were a little small. 4 of us put at a 6 top. Not sure we could have fit 6 people there. Typical for Jefferson City around the Capital. Parking sucks even when they are not in session, but I would not say that is the restaurant’s fault. If I go back I will try the menu next time.
It had been nearly a decade since I’ve been to Arris’ Downtown. So, decided to try it out again. I was pleasantly surprised to find everything was wonderful.
Excellent Arris’ Burger, Fries, Salad, and Breadsticks. In fact, the Burger might be one of the best in Jefferson City.
Great service.
Nice atmosphere.
Median/small Bar.
Love this place, but some processes need to be changed. It's time to rethink their checkout process. With limited space, it is very frustrating. I'm not sure why servers are not processing the bills. The line to get in worth it the line to pay/dessert is unnecessary. Ordered dessert as we were leaving (great marketing) and had to tell the young lady to change gloves because one person in our group has a peanut allergy as I watched her pick up a carrot cake with nut and with the same gloves pick up a piece of chocolate cake. Thank goodness I observed this, but we didn't eat it because this seemed to be regular practice as it was done by a different young lady at the same time. Scary!
Ordered Thessalian Chicken Gyro's, and they were nearly impossible to eat stuffed with dry chicken. They mixed up the wraps and my mom ended up eating the wheat one I ordered, make sure to check your orders when they get to your table before eating.
The food tasted bland, the fries were cold and seasoned with a generic creole seasoning mix. Had to request napkins.
Not sure if this is their standard or if we just caught them during a busy Saturday lunch rush. Overall was pretty disappointed in the quality of the food because it's been a highly recommended restaurant to my family since we moved into Jeff City.
(Photos of cheese bread, husband's gyro with fries, my gyro with vegetable medley)
We love Arris Pizza & eat here every time in Jefferson City, Missouri. Amazing food, and it's across the street & with an amazing view of the most beautiful State Capitol building in America!
