Quick and easy! Friendly service! Great atmosphere! You get what you pay for! Hearty portions and if your a deserts person! Full service treat counter! Cookes! Pies! Cupcakes! Canonlis ! Fair and balanced prices and stellar staff! Yall gotta check out arounc the clock! Hidden gem in crystal lake not far from rt31 and on rt14 across from movies! You wont be disappointed!!
I’m staying in the area just for a long weekend. I stopped in for lunch today. WOW!! I couldn’t believe how big the portions are and delicious as well. And the baked goods will blow you away. I got a veggie sandwich and onion rings, both were excellent! Had to bring half back to my room. I would absolutely stop here again.
Decided to bring my wife here for her birthday dinner. Our appetizer was onion rings with a side of ranch? Ranch... Did not taste like ranch at all. Ordered the turkey, gravy with stuffing and mashed potatoes. Pretty good! Service was excellent and Peyton was amazing and professional. So thank you and we hope you get the recognition you deserve! All in all it was a great experience!
My chicken sandwich and the burgers were very good (Texan and Greek). The waitress was lovely just made a few mistakes. We'll certainly return. It's a nice restaurant that's clean with good food.
I had a great experience there, the server was very polite. For the first time, in a long time, they didn't mess up my friend’s order which was amazing because I don't like to see him getting mad. He loves food, I was glad they got his order right. Next time I go there I have to try their biscuits and gravy, the waiter told me they only serve it in the morning. I guess I'll have to set up an alarm early in the Am next time I'd want to go there.
We were in town for the Midwest Women Riders event and ate breakfast here two days. My first visit I wasn’t hungry and only ordered a side of bacon. My second visit I ordered blueberry French toast and it was so good! And HUGE portions on everything we ordered. We were seated quickly and service was impeccable. Our waiter was very attentive.
I recently met friends at Around The Clock for lunch. Enjoyed my food. Friends enjoyed their food. Waitress was great. Problem was: I use a wheelchair & needed to use the handicapped accessible rest room. First time I've ever used the rest room there.
Their handicapped accessible rest room is very small & unsafe for a handicapped person. First of all, the stall is too narrow for an accessible stall plus the door pushes inward. The door wouldn't close with me in my wheelchair till a friend pushed & squeezed me uncomfortably close to toilet, with my legs & chair pressed against toilet in order to finally close the door.
To be ADA compliant the stall door should swing outward. Minimum width of stall should be 60 inches with a minimum depth of 56 inches so that a wheelchair can freely rotate inside stall.
I was very surprised that a popular, long established restaurant like Around The Clock does not provide a good, ADA compliant handicapped accessible restroom for their customers. Restaurants are legally required to provide an ADA compliant restroom plus it's an important customer service for the customers that eat there.
This has been a reliably delicious place to eat since I was a kid 30+ years ago. It has those classic diner vibes with great service and tasty dishes. My family loves breakfast here. I have a had time getting anything but the Italian Omelet. It's so good!! And when you have a hankering for fluffy pancakes, plain and simple, this is a great place to get some. Reasonable prices that I'm happy to pay for the consistency.
