Best WLM Reviews
This is the best take on Indian food I've had in the decades eating Indian food. This is saying something. Every single dish we tried was very flavorful, with good & varied texture. The presentation was top notch, and the service was excellent. The waiter gave us tips on what to get vs what not to get, the chef came by, and so on.
Again, this is a different take on Indian fare. Don't come here for the same dishes you can get elsewhere, come here for a broader view of what Indian cuisine can be like.
This was amazing! Completely unique from the typical indian restaurants I go to. Ask your servers for recommendations! And listen to them!! The cocktails are amazing as well. The Bombay Gateway might be my fav cocktail ever!
Great food and service. We only had the appetizers here and they were all great. The dessert "Aroqa daulat ki chat" looks fancy, but the taste isn't worth it; especially, the dry bread (not soaked) in it spoils it. Also, the mocktails were just decent. Hence, the 4/5 rating. Would go here again to try more appetizers and main course.
Paratwala paneer: 5/5
Habanero Chicken tikka: 4/5
Bhatti Murgh Chop: 5/5
Dry Pepper Prawns: 4/5
Soul Train: 3/5
Spicy Passion: 3/5
Incredible. Few restaurants in New York are worth the price point. Fewer still are worth far more than they charge. Aroqa is one of those.
The service is efficient and friendly, and the food brushes the cutting edge of Indian cuisine, while maintaining a core of familiarity that’ll transport you to your mother’s table. Excellent, excellent experience. If you’re going to dine out on Indian, do it here.
This restaurant offers a vibed atmosphere with beautifully presented appetizers. The Lasuni Gobi bursts with flavor, while the Kataifi Mushrooms stand out as the most unique dish on the menu. For entrees, the Butternut Squash is a must-try for vegetarians, and the Palak Paneer is uniquely styled and delicious with naan. The dessert selection is fantastic. Highly recommended for a unique Indian dining experience.
Very tasty vegetarian food. Fresh paneer items served, that are often hard to find. Good music. Small portions, presented well.
We were out for a client dinner, and had heard from others that The food and atmosphere here were great. The staff greeted us immediately when we arrived, and were friendly and helpful. The drinks were well prepared and served with great presentation. As we were looking at the menu, the owner and the head chef both came out to greet us and make recommendations based on our taste preferences. It was a very personalized experience, which we greatly appreciated. We ordered approximately eight shareable plates which were portioned perfectly for the six of us. The food had tremendous flavor, with just the right amount of heat for our preference. We managed to save room for desserts, which were artfully prepared. I walked away from this meal feeling stuffed since I couldn't leave anything to be taken away. I was highly satisfied with the whole experience, and will definitely recommend this place to friends and family.
So good. Interesting Indian food with old standards but lots of new creative options. Staff super helpful. Drinks to die for!
