Best WLM Reviews
Food was great! Didn't expect such great quality of Indian food in Knoxville. They seem to prepare food fresh and that's probably why the wait times are a bit high. But the taste is definitely worth it. The ambiance is also subtly Indian, not too flashy, just nice.
Decided to try the buffet here after reading all the Indian restaurant reviews. Food was not impressive and had very limited options. The gobi curry (forgot the exact name) was spoiled with a mild smell. The atmosphere was decent, but the sofas need replacing—torn, taped, and uncomfortable. Service was good and attentive. Buffet was $12.99 not many options, and no biryani, which was surprising. Liked the tandoori chicken and salad. The rice kheer and carrot sweet were okay. Overall, good for a one-time visit.
The ambience was excellent, the food and service were great. Had a wonderful time dining here with friends.
Before going, I searched on Google Maps and saw that the closing time was given at 10 o'clock. But after going, it was informed that it will be closed at 9.30. Must eat quickly. Then I ordered food. Before the customer leaves, they start cleaning up. I lost my appetite for this reason.
I ordered goat dum biriyani. Some meats are cooked well, some are not. There was too much oil. And the rashmalai was not soft. Test 5/10.
The atmosphere was very noisy. not recommended.
Firstly, their customer friendliness is one of a kind. The ambiance was also great. Their foods were well decorated and served too. The only thing that I felt sub-par was the food.
There was a complimentary typical indian appetizer (pappar chips and dip) which was like every other Indian place. I ordered cheese korma (cheese pieces with yogurt gravy), mutton kebab and hakka noodle. The korma flavour was plainly disappointing. Mutton kebabs were pretty dry. Also, they could offer an alternative (paratha or rice) in side selection with the mutton kebabs. We had to order paratha separately and that made us go beyond our budget for one person. The hakka noodle was super spicy. I chose medium hot, so I got pretty confused. The mango lassi was pretty good which pacified the heat a little.
The bill was around $20-25/person. Yet, the quality of food was pretty disappointing. I would like to suggest that they have a better chef as I loved their service.
To me, only for the food, it was a three star experience.
I know three things in life to be true: 1. I'm a foodie and a fair critic. 2. This restaurant has excellent food. 3. This restaurant has excellent service.
I've been coming about once a week for a couple of years. The flavor profiles here are spot on.The dishes on the buffet have a real depth. Fresh cut herbs sprinkled on the buffet are flavor popping! The kitchen knows what they're doing, for sure. Very fresh ingredients and the best baked chicken! I completely recommend Aroma.
The service here has always been outstanding and I like the ambiance.
The price was very competitive… food was very taste.. service was quick.. must visit Indian restaurant in Knoxville.. will come again when I visit knoxville..
I LOVE Aroma! They are the only Indian restaurant in the Knoxville area that offers samosa chaat. The dish was the perfect balance of flaky and soft. My husband ordered the kebabs and despite being born in the Indian subcontinent (and accustomed to spicy food) he was surprised at the heat (in a good way!). I highly recommend Aroma for authentic and fresh Indian cuisine served in a clean and welcoming environment. I’d also like to thank the staff for their gracious and sincere service. We will return! ❤️
