Very cool mall. I come here for events by Southern Tier. It's great they have events like this at the mall! There's so many different vendors, and I hope shoppers at the mall will also check out at the events at the Events Center!
2024 Update-
The mall is doing much better than last year, it's about 3/4 full with almost exclusively small local businesses and only a handful of big chains remaining. Only one section of the mall is empty. It's great to see locals making it a shopping destination again.
2022-
My childhood mall, when I was visiting family 6 months ago it was in really bad shape likely due to covid. There are still lots of empty units, but a lot of new stores since I was last here, primarily local businesses, most of the chains left the mall for strip malls years ago. The death of Sears really hurt it as well, but if they could get a new big anchor store and/or more local places in as well it could make a comeback. Really the biggest thing it needs is more food in the food court.
A cool little mall with a lot of interesting little shops, neat design and an event center with an upcoming comic con (Twin Teirs!!) That is very good. It is a bit empty in places but the amount of independent/non chain stores make this mall a delightful visit.
I’m a 90s kid (born in 80's, grew up in 90's) so I grew up being a “Mallrat” when were the place to be. to see our mall, just like most malls across America, so empty is unfortunate. However, out of the dark comes light, and it is now filled with small business owners. Naturally, I would rather support small business than corporations, so in this regard, it’s actually not a bad thing. Still sad though...
Arnot Mall use to be the epicenter for retail, dining, and entertainment in the Southern Tier. Unfortunately, it has lost much of its luster over the past 10 years. Many of it’s flagship stores are either closed or have significantly reduced their footprint. There are several locally owned novelty shops, but many of the once populated storefronts are now gated closed or boarded up.
Nice and clean place, unfortunately not many businesses open, very few options for shopping, you get bored fast.
Arnot mall has a full-sized Burlington that attracted us. Only 45 min ride from Owego for a greater selection and room to breathe vs Vestal's new compressed shop
I’d give this place a 3.5 bc it doesn’t have many stores if it had more stores a 5 bc there food is good
