We were excited to try this steakhouse for the first time on Friday but we arrived at a busy time so it was a 45 minute wait. We decided to sit in our truck since it was a bit chilly. My cell phone rang & it was time to eat. My nephew ordered the special old fashioned which he enjoyed & I got an iced tea. We had appetizers which were good & I had a delicious cup of soup. After we placed our order for dinner, it was another 40 minute wait. They weren’t short on staff but appeared to be slow on the orders coming out of the kitchen. My nephew ordered a well done hamburger but didn’t expect it to be burnt around all the edges. He did eat it anyway because he was hungry. Honestly, it was way too burnt to really be served at all. Maybe the chef was having an off night but that was certainly a disappointment since we had already waited an hour and a half for our main meal. First time visit was not at all as we would have anticipated it to be. Lastly, the Milky Way pie was very rich & flavorful.
8/24/24:
Our first time here. We did enjoy our steaks, and they were cooked to our liking. The prices are a bit steep, so we were happy the food was good but not the greatest we have had. All the work went into the steak, and the sides were just your basic choices.
Place is definitely an oldie but goodie place. The atmosphere here is relaxed but almost a bit too dark, and that entrance door is a bit too creaky, especially when you are seated next to it. It felt like it would be good at Halloween!
There was a wait of a half hour on a Saturday night, as expected of many places. We were asked to wait outside, which is fine since it isn't a large restaurant. Outside seating would have been nice. Some sat in their cars or on the small curbs of the parking lot.
I have to start off by saying this is the best place in this area hands down, the steak always comes out in perfection and you don't need steak sauce, the sides are freshly cooked and not microwaved like a lot of places are. Try the lemon-chello cake it's amazing! The manager came up to us and recognized that we were becoming regulars. Best seafood around!
Food was delicious! I really liked it in the restaurant, there was a bit of a wait but that's not a big deal. The only issue I had was the service. There were a bunch of waitresses running around and I was not sure who was supposed to be serving us as multiple different waitresses either brought us food, got us drinks, or took our order. I'm not entirely sure who got the tip I left them as we didn't have the same server more than once.
I didn’t realize what a hidden gem this place was. I got an email from Only In Ohio and they featured this steak house. We tried it based on the article and are we happy we did. The building outside doesn’t look like much but don’t drive past! The whole staff was friendly and very attentive. Our steak was cooked perfectly and the shrimp cocktail was great! The cocktail sauce had just enough heat to it. It was National IPA Day so of course my husband had a Truth brought out with a cold glass. They take reservations but only for groups of 6 or more. They were so busy (a sign of how great everything is). You can get salads and burgers but we treated ourselves. It’s a little pricey but the quality of food and the staff definitely made it worth the money.
The owner would not honor my gift certificate. She was very rude and just said sorry but I can't compensate you. I asked her so I'm just out of the money then? She said yes. If this is how you run a business then that's sad. So pretty much you sold money.
Excellent dinner. We shared an appetizer combo. The steaks were perfect, the 8 oz NY strip and the 12 oz ribeye.
My boyfriend and I are foodies and we stumbled across this place! I MUST say WOW!!! Simply WOW…Every time the food has been on point, I’m in the food industry and I would say I’m rather picky… and this place has never disappointed me!! Honestly that’s amazing especially because of how picky I am! Tonight we had the pleasure of meeting the man that makes the magic happen!! Grant, you are one hell of a cook my NEW friend… you are appreciated and you’re so good at what you do!! THANK YOU!!
