Best WLM Reviews
Definitely should have read the reviews before going. Since it's literally a gigantic barn, I didn't expect the cuisine to be fancy, expensive Mexican food. My son ordered the kid's ground beef tacos but they were out of ground beef. Except someone else in our group ordered a taco salad with ground beef and they brought it? The food wasn't great. I wouldn't go back but the menu at the other restaurant (which was closed while we were there) looked more like what I'd expect so I'd try it.
This place is a waste of money. The birra tacos were a joke. They were pretty much just pot roast (bison) tacos that were almost as dry as the rice. The rice could not get any drier and flavorless. I did not know that was possible. My daughter ordered the fajitas and it was supoise ti be chicken and shrimp but she got chicken and steak. The chicken tasted ok but the steak was tough and no flavor. The waitress brought her a bowl of shrimp they could've kept. It looked great on the outside but the inside was mushy and dry which was a weird experience. Lastly, we ordered sopapillas. They were not that. They were over cooked chips with cinnamon sugar. The food is over priced and underwhelming. If you're going to charge people that much might ey yall need to step your game up or lower your prices to reflect the quality of food.
Went there for lunch for my brother's 58th birthday. I had the Buffalo tacos and they were very very dry. His taco salad wasn't much to talk about either. Not up to Johnny Morris standards that's for sure.
The service is great & atomosphere. The food not so much. The appetizer sweet corn was good though.
I ordered the Bison Taco dish or whatever it's called, and hot tea and my companion ordered the jalapeno Swiss cheeseburger. Both dishes were tasty and filling. It's a little overpriced, but you are paying for the view and the ambiance. Our server was efficient and very friendly, providing refills frequently without being asked.
I would patronize again.
We ate lunch here after the Golf Cart tour. It was ok. Nothing we’d visit again. The prices weren’t too bad. The food was just ok. I got the 3 taco deal I got 2 chicken and 1 pork. They were good but nothing I’d ever crave to come eat again. We also got the queso dip which was very good but the chips were hard and almost stale like. The waitress had too many tables and we had to wait a while for drink refills. She was very friendly however. Also this isn’t like your normal Mexican food restaurants. But to each their own so at least give it a try!
The barn is beautiful and the atmosphere is cool.
However, the food was terrible and overpriced. The tacos had stale corn tortillas and dry meat. It seemed as if the ingredients had been sitting out for several hours. For $24 a plate I would expect at least a fresh tortilla…
The staff were sweet but there is a break down in communication somewhere and might need some standardization. Possibly universal seat numbers for ease of serving for large groups. There also was several almost collisions with waitstaff, using directive language would behoove the staff and increase their safety and mitigate the risk of hurting each other, guests or breaking dishes.
The restaurant is very nice on the inside. The fireplace is super cool with seating right next to it. However, the food is over priced and the menu is extremely limited. Sine you have to pay to park and take a shuttle to the site, you are a captured to eat there if you need lunch. When my burger came out the bottom bun was soggy and I ended up eating the burger without the bun. This place is okay, but you can skipped it without feeling that you missed out.
