We had stayed at this hotel on December 14th. The Service was quick, Staff was very professional and polite. Lots of parking in the parking lot though the parking lot was very dirty with garbage.
Room - The First room we were given was a nice room. Came with a couch, a nice large mirror, located in a nice area, spaced out nicely among the other rooms, very spacious. We really liked it though the bed was very uncomfortable. The heat was not working in our room so, we were giving the option to change rooms which I will say now... I WISH I DIDN"T.
Second room I swear I went from the Ritz to the ghetto, not even joking from that reference either. It was horrible. Room looked like it wasn't even cleaned, dirty old cigarettes in the desk drawer, crumbs on the floor, Much smaller, It was a conjoined room and as soon as I saw that I knew someone would be in the next room and I was NOT getting any sleep that night. Our bed only had 2 pillows, We did ask for 2 more pillows for our room.. BUT.... only got 1 pillow 1 HOUR LATER.. The peep holes on our doors had toilet papers in them (What was that about.. strange??), Bathroom was a lot smaller. The Plus side to this other room: There was Heat, The fridge was bigger.. THAT WAS IT!!!! It was just a terrible downgrade from what we had before. I should have complained but we were only there one night. Why bother right? Well, I should have. Around midnight, The neighbor in the other side of the conjoined of course was LOUD and you could hear them through the conjoined door as if they were right in the room with you. I did not get any sleep. Terrible night there. I could not wait to get out of there. As we were packing up, my husband was taking stuff out to the truck and the maid was knocking on the door ready to clean our rooms, like lady chill wait for us to check out before you bombard our room, geese., not like they do a good job cleaning anyways *eye roll* all in all this place for the price isn't terrible but isn't that great either.
I wish I was surprised when I read all the negative reviews and when I actually saw this place for myself, But I wasn't. It's pretty much what all the reviews are saying, dirty, not updated, poor quality of pretty much everything. I don't ask for much, and a functioning toilet paper holder is pretty bare minimum to request. There were dead bugs on the carpet near the nightstand, the bathroom towels weren't dirty but I could tell they weren't changed either because they weren't placed "neatly" on the towel rack either. Overall, just find another place to stay. You would think management would see all these negative reviews and actually do something about it.
The room was filthy. There was mold in the bathroom, the vent over the shower didn't run, the carpets were dirty, a little trash was on the floor, one of the tables had several scratches as if someone had taken a knife to it. There was debris under a chair cushion, and dirt and hairs on the toilet. No washcloths in the bathroom, only towels. No continental breakfast, despite what it says on their website. We took pictures and complained at the front desk, and the person there told us we should have checked the online reviews. We were told the new owners had not changed the website photos since it had been a Holiday Inn 5 years earlier. Nothing was offered to compensate, not even a different room. Worst of all, they put a $100 hold on our credit card to cover any damages, and it turns out there was damage in the room when we got there! We’re disappointed that Google has this as a 3 star hotel; it doesn't rate even a single star now that ownership has changed. The only plus is the location - there are some decent eateries within walking distance. The current owners are putting in the bare minimum, as the "housekeeping" apparently consists of changing sheets and towels after checkout.
Honestly, you can find a very comfortable area in the very gorgeous very very gorgeous area close to New York City. Be there very very cheap price. That area is fantastic. Compared to price absolutely cannot find very special services or very super clean room, but you can find very comfortable room in the very good area and just 20 to 35 minutes drive to Manhattan.
If I can give this hotel negative stars I would! This place is disgusting! So when I first got there, you are greeted by the disgusting smell , got the keys, go up to the room and it didn’t work, went down , made a new one and still didn’t work. When I got the key the 3rd time, I went in and checked the beds, disgusting !! I had to go back down , got the room changed and still the second room that we got was still filthy! From the smell, to the sheets, to the bathroom. The shower was CLOGGED!!! It was disgusting! I was truly afraid that I was going to bring bugs home, that’s how filthy it is! The place is so outdated for the price. Stains all over!! Do not stay here !!!
Positive: For the price the rooms are ok for Business traveling. Clean, water is strong. TV & wi-fi ok. Negative: The maids are very loud in the morning and are often shouting to each other.$100.00 deposit. It takes 5 to 10 business days. They claim it is my bank. Untrue, I stay at hotels 3 nights a week. All deposits back in account in 48 hours. Use it as cash flow
This was absolutely the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Negative stars for sure! There was a hole in the wall around the air conditioner unit that you can see the outside from, when they were blowing leafs it all came into the room, there was actual mold on the wall, they couldn’t give us more towels for two days, the bathroom sink was broken, they didn’t have phones in the rooms, then elevator was broken, they do give receipts for your stay. The place is a totally dump. I would highly highly highly recommend not staying there.
DON’T stay here, the cleanliness is horrible, towels have stains and an old smell, there seems to be some mold growth and water damage and the floors have stains/rust. I made the mistake of not looking at the reviews prior to booking and was disappointed when i got here. I already questioned how clean it was then I read the reviews. I read one review that gave me some hope it wouldn’t be too bad but i believe thats because they got an upgraded room that was $20 more a night. The area and reception were perfectly fine, there’s a nice plaza with bagels sandwiches and pizza that was good, but the room itself is NOT WORTH IT.
