The food was really good. The bread, especially, was delicious. We had a variety of entrees that were delicious. There was no one else at the restaurant and our server seemed legitimately italian.
Ordered take out for the first time today and it was delicious! We got the margarita pizza, tortellini and gnocchi. I would say the gnocchi was our fave. Will be ordering again!
We went here after a long day of work and I really wasn't sure what to expect . It had very good reviews on Google but I'm always a little skeptical going into this type of restaurant...what I call "American Italian". The Italian part being used very loosely.
Wide variety menu choices from subs to pasta dishes. The mozzarella sticks had a nice crunchy batter but the marinara sauce tasted like it came from a can.
My buddy got the lasagna which surprisingly had chunks of ham in it. It was smothered in that same marinara sauce from early. He said it was just OK. I'm not gonna lie, I was skeptical so I avoided the pasta dishes altogether. I can't stand generic (bottled) marinara sauce. I got the steak & cheese with lettuce tomatoes onions and mayo. It was a huge sub which came with toasted bread. Tasted great with orange soda.
I generally don't like places like this but the service and ambiance was great. If you are into Americanized Italian dishes you will probably like this place.
Really nice place for some good food. The service and the server are great. I have been going here for years and they never disappoint.
Really disappointed with recent to go order. Was told 15 minutes over the phone and after showing up I waited an additional 35 for some of my dishes to be done. Half my order sat up on their wall during this time and not under heat lamps. I was told once during the time standing there that they were waiting on the one pasta dish. By the time it was finished I told them all of the other food that sat out for 30 mins was going to be cold by the time I got home, and I was right. They offered to take it back to reheat it which i declined because I didn’t have more time to waste. The next offer was $15 off my next visit, but I won’t be back after this. Not to mention every person who worked there kept rubbing their hands on their faces and noses and were handling food without gloves. No thanks.
Armetta's is a classic Italian restaurant that delivers on flavor. Their dishes are packed with authentic Italian taste and are definitely worth trying. However, be prepared for a bit of a wait. The service can be slow, so plan accordingly.
The atmosphere is a bit dated, but it's a charming throwback to old-school Italian dining. If you're looking for a trendy spot, this might not be it, but if you're focused on the food, you won't be disappointed.
Overall, Armetta's offers great value for delicious Italian cuisine. Just be patient with the service, and you'll enjoy a satisfying meal.
This is our go to place for pizza in the Woodbridge area. we lived in Italy for several years, and this is really the best option for pizza, if you’d like a typical New York style type of pizza we also enjoy their pastas, especially spaghetti, carbonara, and their tortellini Armetta. We love that it’s a family owned and operated business. They care about the customers, and quality of what they are providing the community. Pay no mind to the negative reviews, here or on Yelp. Those people are in the minority of opinion and frankly are probably not happy in general. If something with your order isn’t correct, you simply have to say something, and Leo, Angela or anyone on their wonderful staff will fix it for you.
I wanted to write this review about a phenomenal delivery driver named Will, He has done delivery for me multiple times and everytime, without a doubt he brings a smile to my face (ear to ear) . He always is prepared with everything and on time. He is a amazing kid and a ray of sunshine, This kid really blows my mind.
