Best WLM Reviews

Highly recommend. Really nice atmosphere w/ white tablecloths combined with very good Mexican food. Large menu with Musca to choose from in all price ranges. Drinks were fantastic - talented bartender.
I will explain Mothers day service at the bar as I experienced it. Firstly, the bartender was friendly, communicative, and offered his suggestion off the brunch menu between my inquiries.
The tortillas are fried to golden perfection. However, the salsa is served warm and not like any I have had before; it is completely unappealing to me:
A tad bit greasy, a minute julienne strip of fresno chili (not enough spice to actually carry into this ranchero sauce). It is a rustic style, tomato skins, and large chunks of vegetables (such as onion, tomato, as well as a vegetable I was unable to determine what it actually was).
I think this sauce would make a delicious tomato soup if pureed with added cream, in any case. However, if you like chips and want options other than queso (which might be spicy for some) this ranchero sauce might be preferred as the business explained in their initial reply.
My bartender who did perform five-star service offered me substitutes for the ranchero (sauce/salsa?). A cold traditional salsa, a made-in-house hot sauce, and a deliciously tangy salsa verde (the best creamy green salsa I have had in town). On to the main course:
I had Steak & eggs served with home-fry style potatoes and refried beans. These beans were also the best I have had in Houston but the potatoes were lacking in flavor. The steak I had asked for medium rare plus but while it did have a warm center it was closer to rare than to medium rare.
5 stars for being a really Fun dinner date restaurant.. but 3.5 stars for the food.
The chips and salsa which is more like a warm ranchero sauce were So good! We had the cheesy taco appetizer (don't remember the name and not pictured), lamb chops, sea bass, and the tres leches. The appetizer and the cake were my favorites and delicious!!
Try the Lulu's Cocktail ????
Great food! Great Margaritas! Iv never tasted refried beans this good!
Great service and atmosphere but very poor quality of food. The chips were thick , under salted and oily. The guacamole tasted like out of a jar. The fajita is unsizzled , chicken is rubbery and under seasoned. They couldn’t even prepare a freaking basic mojito I couldn’t finish it. It was the 2 of us and we ended up paying $130. Definitely over priced for the quality of food. I will never go back again.
Excellent Meal with Great Service...
Ambiance is that of Elegance..
You want to dine here with friends that appreciate fine dining with quiet conversations...
Parking Lot available and Physically Challenged will have no problem enjoying the restaurant
Armando's is worth the premium for a special occasion or to treat yourself. The food, service and atmosphere were excellent. We had the ribeye and cheese enchiladas, fajitas mixta and lobster tail for mains; guacamole and queso flameado for appetizers; tres leches for dessert; King Margaritas on the rocks and House Margaritas frozen: all were exceptional. This is one of those places that when you get the bill, you remark how that's a really good value for the premium food quality.
Had such a great experience! If you like spicy food, ask for the spicy salsa! Our waiter Sergio took such great care of us and made great recommendations for our meal. Definitely check this place out!
