Best WLM Reviews

This place has so much potential given the location and bar, but they would be better off completely revamping the menu or discounting selling of their food. I used to live the armadillos at the downtown location, but like this one, the current food is night and day, for the worst. I went again today, desperate to find something I can like in the menu, but even things that are hard to mess up taste below average (tots, salad, “chicken wings,” and chicken tenders). Some individual item assessments:
Burgers are not as flavorful as they used to taste, the quality of beef used to be so savory, and the produce was so fresh I used to recommend the place to anybody that would listen to me.
The fries and tots are usually overcooked, stale tasting, lacking so much flavor that even salt and the low quality ketchup they have doesn’t salvage.
Chicken tenders are thin, thinly breaded, overcooked and hard tough pieces of meat to eat, again, lacking in flavor. My 5 yo daughter who isn’t picky when it comes to tenders or tots didn’t eat more than a bite.
The boneless chicken wings, are just those aforementioned chicken tenders with sauce that isn’t even fully covering the tenders (even with partially layered sauce they still tasted stale and hard to chew).
The salad was a little too wet and the ranch is a little watered down (not thick) so you get insisting bites of salad with average produce quality.
I’m not writing this to hate on the place, I truly want to find something I like there because I love going to the theater next to it, but this is more a call to action, begging that they consider my words and look into some improvement.
I’ve gone 4 times in the past year hoping to find something I like to eat there, I’ve never heard anybody say they go there for the food line they used to at the downtown location.
Photo attached from earlier with my daughter. The waitress was fine, service is never an issue.
This place has some good burgers and hotdogs. The service however was horrible. As a matter of fact, our waitress took our order and we didn't see her again. Another waitress was bringing our food out and was intercepted by our waitress. She laid our spread on the table and asked if we needed anything. At that point, we were good. She didn't come back to check and wasn't seen again until i got up to ask for drink refills. Maybe management should hire more people to keep the waitresses from doing other duties and minding thier tables
It's a bar with delicious fried pickle chips and hamburgers. It has a neighborhood sports bar feel to it. However, it's a hidden gem for great food at a reasonable cost. Something we're all looking for when we go out to eat, nowadays. This time I tried a fried catfish sandwich. It wasn't bad, but it was terrific. Everything was cooked properly, but it needed more seasoning on the breading. If you're reading this Armadillos, can you use the fried pickle seasoning for the catfish? I do know the burgers are great! They have a mushroom/Swiss burger which I prefer. The sides are a la carte, if you're really hungry.
It's a decent local owned bar and grill. I like the place. It has a large assortment of drinks and a lot of space to bring the family. They have a giant burger that I have not had or seen ordered personally. I have had the burgers and they are good. Trying to convince the family to get the 3Lb burger. The nachos were good. I liked the real cheese on them
I had the Mushroom and Swiss Burger. It was so good and big, I had to cut in half and only ate half. This was the 1/2lb Burger. Tater Tots where good.
We sat at the bar, and the bar tender was awesome. I wasn't even hungry, and I ordered the 3lb burger. It was humongous! Bacon, lettuce, and tomatoes were stacked high. The burger was AMAZING even though it may seem like a novelty. Everyone at the bar was amazed at the size and were taking pictures of the spectacle of a burger. I've been here many times and the food never disappoints! The serving sizes are always huge as well. Highly recommended!
Typical country western bar/restaurant. Lots of room. Located in mall. Staff very nice. Typical grill items mostly burgers. They did have special size hamburgers 1 and half pound and 3 pounds. My nephew had the 1 and half pond burger it was huge and he finished half of it.
4th time coming here and 3rd time totally disappointed with the food. Less than 1 star: greasy burgers, cold fries, and nothing much else to speak of. If not for their happy hour margaritas, there's no reason to eat there. NONE, with better food close by, make a better choice. Almost forgot, anyplace that gives you plastic fork and knife, get up and walk out then! Almost almost forgot: last 3 times I've commented about poor food quality only 1 server did anything about it and I've never seen management. Times have changed folks. Last thought from this visit, 90%of servers don't want the job and a small house salad cost $5.25 and the bowl is half full and they give you one 2ounce ranch with plastic fork. In 1 year this place will be CLOSED.
