Stayed here for four nights in a room with a terrace. The view from the room and terrace was amazing. The hotel was in decent condition and the staff were really nice. The shower worked well with a lot of pressure. The bed was just okay and any movement could be easily felt by the other person. Room service was really late in the day and they don't refill the coffee pods. Our bed sheet and pillow had stains on them. There was a gross wet spot on the carpet in our room and it wouldn't dry. The hotel is quite loud. Not just from the sirens and honking which I understand as it's new york, but from inside the hotel too. I could hear all the doors opening and closing and any conversations in the hall. There was a huge gap under the door and around the blinds for light to stream in and make the whole room bright. However the location is amazing, so many places to eat and a close walk to almost everything you could want to do in new york.
Our second stay at Hotel Arlo Midtown and it did not disappoint. A few blocks from Javits Convention Center, made for quick strolls to our industry trade show. We patroned all the on-site dining establishments, Cafe, The Bar Room, and Altair. Customer service was on-point and we felt welcomed and well taken care of. On departure, Amanda at Front Desk offered and helped booked us a taxi to JFK and Gurkhan (Bellhop) was so kind to help store our many pieces of luggage and graciously loaded them into our taxi. We will definitely be staying here again! ||Most days I’d return to the room around 5:30p and found Housekeeping had not yet refreshed the bed or replenished linens. Not a major setback by any means. Housekeeping staff always responded quickly when we called for towels.
We loved this hotel. The smell upon walking in was absolutely gorgeous and the lobby was very welcoming.
The rooms were very cozy and small but I wouldn’t expect anything huge in NYC. My only complaint was that our neighbour was playing very loud music all night long and the security couldn’t seem to resolve it so we had a bit of a sleepless night.
I need to acknowledge Alex R at the front desk who is an absolute joy to be around. His aura is immaculate and did everything in his power to make sure that everyone is happy. I love him! The best service at a hotel in my entire life. Thank you Alex!
Room was clean and ready when we arrived. Started are trip to NYC without any issues. Bar and lobby were amazing. Staff were helpful and friendly. We had a great time in the Hotel over our 4 night stay. Would book hear again. Cool view for the roof bar, although that was closed for the season.
Gurkan was super helpful & nice. Great hotel, we enjoyed our stay and would come back, great location. Hotel has a lovely smell ☺️ |Coffee shop has delicious ice coffee. Roof top has great views of the city. 10/10 would definitely return again.
Great location. Rooms are tiny. Efficient elevators. Walls thick enough to not hear neighbors. Good airport uber setup. Breakfast downstairs good but better options nearby. Only give two towels for two guests ridiculous.
Great hotel, great location close to Times Square, Central Park, MS Gardens, Macy's, subway stops etc etc.
There is a nice bar, breakfast room and it is very quiet considering New Yorks 24/7 noise.
Amazing view from the room and they have their own candle brand that smells amazing when you enter reception - we had to buy one to bring home.
Lost one star on service as our room wasn't cleaned by 4pm one day.
My bathroom toilet area wasn’t properly clean. I should not see ???? stains in the toilet right after i check in my room. The water didn’t drain properly from the sink. It took good 5 minutes after i washed my hands. The door from shower doesn’t close properly, all the water when taking shower runs into bathroom area. The bathroom floor becomes very messy after 15 minutes of shower. The towels left were almost about to rip. The same goes to bed sheets. I didn’t even have laundry bag in my room. The room smelled a bit weird. You can’t check in before 3 pm, some hotels will let you do that as curtesy if u arrive couple hours early. Now they don’t have to do that but flagging it, they will ask to pay extra to check in before 3 pm. For what i paid the room was tiny and felt a little claustrophobic. The bed was literally squeezed into wall. I took umbrella from the room and forgot it in the reception area of the same hotel. But they didn’t even try to find it. They charged for it too. Apparently it’s strict rule , you must leave umbrella inside the room. In short they will look for every opportunity to milk u. I stayed in other hotels located in similar area. I can say this hotel isn’t cheap comparing to other hotels. I was let down by online reviews and booked here. Leaving this review here so u could think twice before u book.
