The location is wonderful. The vibe of the hotel is very appealing. The rooms are efficiently designed with clever storage and very comfortable beds. The staff all were so professional and friendly that we felt especially welcomed. We liked desk staff Ally and Paris. We liked waitstaff in the restaurant Nicole, Nadia, and Lizbeth. Food, great, and reasonably priced.
This was the perfect location for our girl's trip. We were in the center of everything. We wanted to see on our bucket list, which made walking very easy for us. The hotel was secure. The great service atmosphere was beautiful. We would definitely stay every time we visit Chicago.
I stayed here in June. I thought the location was great. It's a short stroll to Millennium park and not far from everything else in Chicago.
Our room was clean and spacious.
The staff was really nice. It was raining on our second day there and one of the hotel's employees offered to let us use his umbrella, which i thought was really nice.
The hotel does have umbrellas in the rooms but you have to pay for them. Not a big deal but it was super nice to have someone offer theirs.
Marked down a star for their "Urban Tax" which is not a tax in any sense of the word, but a $25 fee for "two cans of water per day" and a "$15 discount" if you dine in at their restaurant (don't). It's a common, dishonest practice.
Nice rooms, nice staff. Nothing outstanding. Very little in the way of gathering space without paying for the restaurant. Neither the best nor the worst hotel you will ever stay at for the price point.
Great experience! The hotel was incredible and a great price in an amazing location. On site restaurant was top notch for breakfast lunch and dinner with incredible wait staff - especially Nicole! Would love to come back some day to stay!!!
We love to walk when we stay somewhere. The Arlo was perfect for this. In 20 minutes you can access restaurants, live jazz at Andy’s, the Theatre district, Millennial park and the Bean… A lot of the places that were suggested to us were within a few minutes of the Hotel… the Cultural Centre, Chicago Art Centre … the architecture cruises… the hotel was comfortable clean and efficient I would definitely chose this hotel if this is how you like to see a city…
They charge a resort fee when it's not a resort. They say your deposit is immediately returned but it's not. It takes 7 to 10 business day's for your deposit to be returned. The rooms are way to small for the pricing... They do have comfortable beds, and clean sheets. The location is good as well. They just shouldn't lie about the deposit or charge a resort fee- when they're not a resort... Also, they don't have a microwave in the rooms.
Great hotel and an incredible location. Everything is within walking distance. Super comfy beds and pillows. Front desk team was great especially Skky. The downstairs restaurant has a great breakfast. Would choose this location again for my family.
