Was really excited to eat here after a long day of sightseeing. We skipped lunch so we'd appreciate it even more. I felt let down. The steak egg roll missed the mark. The flavors didn't meld well, and I had the overwhelming taste of blue cheese. Perhaps it was an aged steak taste, but it came off bitter versus savory.
The Prickly Pear Margarita was good. Ask for light salt on the rim. Mine was so coated it ruined the drink.
The presentation was lovely on my boneless rib dinner, but the potatoes were hard, and the meat was dry and didn't taste as good as I've had elsewhere. My husband enjoyed his Beed Tenderloin and Tortilla soup. The view was so spectacular with a double rainbow that the restaurant staff went out and took photos. It was lovely of them, as other guests became aware of it and were able to get great shots.
We enjoyed the rib-eye steak and the shrimp scampi. The steak was done perfectly as requested, very flavourful and juicy. The shrimp of the scampi was very well seasoned, though the noodles were tasteless while drenched in oil. I think the oil was not properly incorporated into the noodles. Maybe instead of just spice, using other herbs or seasoning would save the sauce and linguine's flavour.
Service was excellent. Very kind and helpful.
We had an excellent dinner! Started off with free warm bread and perfectly creamy butter brought right to the table. Then I got the tortilla soup which really hit the spot on a cold night. Then I got that nights’ special, lamb chops with cranberry glaze which was delicious, and the hatch green chili Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese wasn’t really cheesy and I didn’t taste the chilies, but it was still cream and good. Then the prime rib was excellent, and the mash potatoes were perfect. We got a side of the fried cactus and jalapeños which was my favorite cactus I’ve thrived here! For dinner the lemon merengue pie and pumpkin cheesecake hit the spot! Would definitely return.
It's very pricey but that's to be expected, given the location. Looks flashy, but the food was a letdown. Our female server was lovely and really explained the dishes well, especially my vegetarian choices, but I thought the Tomales was a little bland but then I've never had it before. My companion was very unhappy with the rib eye steak as it was much too fatty, so our server organised a replacement meal to the New York Strip, and this was much better. When the chef was redoing the steak, we could hear the kitchen crew f-ing and blinding, which was very unprofessional. The salmon dish was delicious, however.
We asked to sit by the window as there were empty seats over , but the host said it would take 15 minutes to prepare the table, which seemed strange.
Overall, it's OK but be prepared to pay way over the odds for fairly mediocre.
Had lunch one day and dinner another day. Both times we had Matt as our server. Gave us excellent tips on what to see and do, was very friendly, provided excellent service, and his menu recommendations were spot on.
The food was really delicious, I had salmon for lunch and shrimp scampi for dinner. I’ve never been a fan of prickly pear but the PP butter was really good. PP cider was also delicious. Would highly recommend this place, for both food and view.
Add chicken to any salad- only if you enjoy really cold cubes of white chicken with minimal flavor. Mind blown. I requested they heat it and it was returned hot, a bit seared on some sides. The ribs were meaty, the mash potatoes were according to one of the kids “too buttery.” The bread had good crunch. The children’s menu is very reasonably priced. The prickly pear salad was not served with jalapeños -we searched for them and found none. The proportions in that salad were not well balanced. I ordered the tossed salad and it lacked vinaigrette which is an easy fix, but the cucumber slices had the rind which I do not enjoy- too bitter. The veggies in the salad were fresh. Lots of fresh carrot sticks. The crispy rock shrimp was flavorful and delicious. The shrimp and the bread and butter were my favorites.
After a 3 mile Bright Angel hike, Arizona Steakhouse was a savior for lunch.
Started off their prickly pear cocktail - delicious. Just the right amount if sweet and tangy mix and oh so refreshing!
I was so happy to see their healthy and filling menu options. I ordered a Tofu bowl with quinoa and rice. Kids had the usual burger and fries. Pictures tell all - there was not a crumb left when we were done :)
Our experience at the Arizona Steakhouse was incredible. Hands down the nicest meal we had at in the grand Canyon village. The ambiance was energetic and my prime rib was delicious.
