Best WLM Reviews

I am currently staying at the resort and I must say I am very impressed. The resort is in top condition, very well manicured and overall a very nice place to walk around.
The lobby and shared buildings look great, you couldn't tell it is an "older" resort. And by older, I mean that the rooms have a bathtub and not the more modern walk-in shower like in newer places. Speaking of the rooms, they are very large, I really enjoy having a separate living area with a door to the bedroom. This being a business trip, it's nice to have a desk outside of the bedroom to work . Lots of storage space... And I mean LOTS of it! This is easily a resort I could visit for vacation and spend a week without any issue. The waterpark looks great, it is very big and at this time of year, not too busy.
And now, the cherry on top... The fitness center ????????. This fitness center is way better than other resort I have ever visited. It's actually better than some of the paid gyms I have seen.
Whipped cream on top of the cherry? No problem, we'll add the amazing staff. Everyone is welcoming and ready to help. Smiles all around to make you feel welcome and that you're never a bother.
The hotel was amazing! As soon as you enter the grounds, you feel in an oasis. There are fountains everywhere and beautiful gardens. The staff was so friendly, and we could check-in early without a fee. They made sure we had rooms in the same building, and we had a ride in golf cart to our rooms. The rooms are nice and comfortable. I love the architecture of all the buildings. There are so many pools and the included water park is so much fun. There is everything you need and so much more.
My daughter picked your hotel for her birthday trip, specifically for the water park. Since we would be at your facility on thanksgiving we called and explicitly asked if it would be open. We were told it would be. We arrived with her extremely excited and were told that you decided to close the water park. So now our choice is to change plans at our own expense and stay longer or she misses out. It feels like a bait and switch. The rest of your hotel is open and staffed but lifeguards get the day off? Seems a lot like a money saving strategy for you since you aren't booked enough. We were offered a gelato coupon for the inconvenience. It feels extremely clear that transparency and honesty with your guests is nowhere on your priority list. We won't be staying with you again. Be honest. It's not "just business" you affect people who are spending exorbitant sums of money to have a nice experience.
This is one of the nicest and friendliest hotels I’ve stayed in for a long time. I was here for a week. As a former police officer, I felt completely safe the entire time. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. They are more like a one bedroom apartment with a really nice bathroom and shower. They have Tesla charging stations conveniently located near the lobby. The grounds are superb. Well taken care of!
I love the AZ Grand Resort! This is by far one of the cleanest and friendliest hotels I’ve stayed in. I’m pretty sure all of the rooms are suites, set up like an apartment. Every interaction I had with the staff was positive. The grounds are superbly clean as well. I rented a Tesla and was pleased to see that they had charging stations conveniently located near the lobby. I was here for almost a week for a conference. The food was second to none! Delicious!! As a former police officer, I felt completely safe for my entire stay.

My primary complaint is that my room, along with the twelve other individuals in my group, was paid in full well in advance of our conference. When I initially checked in, my debit card was charged $838.53 for the full amount of my stay. I informed the desk clerk the room was previously paid in full, and he made the correction in the system. There was also a hold of $300.00 for incidentals when it should have been $100.00 like the other twelve individuals in my group. EACH NIGHT of my stay, my debit card was charged an amount of $650.00 or more. Again, there should have been absolutely no charges on my card during my stay with the exception of the $100.00 fee for incidentals. When I approached the front desk to attempt to have my money returned to me, I was informed it would be 5 to 7 business days before I would see the money in my account. This severely impacted my trip as I depended on the money in that account for food and other necessities. I was only offered three $30 food vouchers and two breakfast coupons. I felt I should have, at a minimum, been offered a hotel voucher at a hotel of my choice! I can definitely say I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
I can’t believe that this place got so many good reviews. Though I will say the bad reviews are all consistent with my experience. If your expectations of what is considered a nice and clean hotel room is really low, then you won’t have a problem.
For those of you who are truly looking for a “resort and spa” this IS NOT it!
The rooms are so gross! So dirty and outdated. The carpet was covered in stains. The walls and cabinets are in need of serious repair. The mirrors and counters were filthy.
The couch and chairs were stained and the furniture overall looked to be 30 years old.
What topped it off was the curly hair found on the bed sheets.
I requested to moves rooms 3 times and each room was the same. Gross! Finally I spoke with the manager Karley and she was super nice and accommodating and I asked for the most updated and least carpeted room. She put me in a villa for no additional charge. Which was better. Certainly a bit cleaner. Still outdated.
Staff is very nice and accommodating.
Food is not great.
I stayed here for a work trip but would not have chosen this place otherwise.
This hotel needs some major maintenance and cleaning! One of the worst I have seen ever sorry to say. This I should not be called a “resort and spa”.
I was recently at the Arizona Grand Resort and Spa for an event that spanned several days. The location was very convenient in terms of the airport, but was a bit far if one wanted to eat in Phoenix or Scottsdale. The grounds were beautiful and clean.
We hiked close to the hotel most days, and while I was unable to use the pools, I heard great things from other attendees, especially regarding the lazy river. The rooms were a bit dated, but exceptionally clean, and we received turn down service every day (a rarity these days). The food was incredible throughout the event. Everything was cooked well, served hot, and tasted fresh and healthy - much better than any event, and most weddings I've attended. A big thank you to the staff - they are very attentive, professional and friendly - always ready to help. Martel went above and beyond.
