The rooms were good enough for us to stay for 2 days. They could of given us a better view and not a view of the homeless. I would stay here again on a day trip or something but not a week. And boulder isn't that great of a location but if your looking for something cheap then this is the place. The room wasn't dirty or anything but the beds feel like a million people slept in them so they are all thin and weird. But other then that the places wasn't bad and no one bothered us!
My hotel room was aged, but spotlessly clean. I felt safe at night walking from the casino back to my room (facing Boulder Hwy, -nearest to the 7-11 on the corner of Indios.) The old saying "you get what you pay for" remains true - but my expectations were exceeded and I feel this hotel was an incredible value. I highly recommend this hotel for the budget-conscious and experienced traveller who isn't terrified by people waiting at the bus stop.
I can't say enough TERRIBLE things about this place. First of all, the "resort fee." What a joke that this is the new norm with hotels, especially those that are not a resort. I have no idea why this place was considered a resort or what the "amenities" were, let alone why they felt the need to charge me almost $24 when I booked this place that is nowhere near the strip. Second, I was charged the resort fee again when I registered/arrived at the hotel--in addition to the $100 deposit that is NOT refunded right away, but in 3 business days (which means a week). Next, this "resort" was an absolute shxx hole. It is nothing more than a rub down apartment complex with a casino attached. The low life tweakers living there were numerous. The room looked nothing like the online photos. The carpet was filthy and stained, there was boogers smeared on the wall near the sink light switch, and something crusty was all over the toilet side--so nothing was clean in this room. In addition, none of the outlets worked so I had to unplug the fridge to charge my phone. The king size bed only came with two small pillows and there was no blanket. It has a bottom sheet and top sheet only, and we were freezing all night. The bathroom has a weird configuration with the sink next to the bed--never saw that before. And the wall paper was peeling and stained in every room. The door didn't have any security lock, but it looks like it did a couple times before by evidence of my photo. We had to wedge a chair up against the door to feel safe. I'm glad we did that because around 830 that night, someone was trying to open our door with a key card and turn the knob. I honestly think the creepy guy who checked me in at registration had us marked to be robbed. Our room was also supposed to be non smoking, but that was completely not the case!! Then again, maybe the people before were not smokers and just carried the smoke from the casino to their room. I was only at the registration desk for 5 minutes and when I got back to my car, I smelled like I had been rolling around in an ashtray. My husband couldn't believe it. I had to shower immediately when I got to the room. |You may be wondering why we didn't just leave as soon as we walked into the place--we had been driving through Death Valley all day, it was our first and only night there, we were running on no sleep, and we just didn't have the energy to find another place that late in the day. |DO NOT STAY HERE!! FIND SOME PLACE ELSE. RUN !!!!!
We booked this hotel from Nov 28 - Dec 2, it was freezing cold and they said no blankets were available just sheets. We asked for a room service and they said they didn’t have enough personnel, we received the service on the last day. Beds are not clean, bad location. Don’t worry about the cheap price, you won’t even get for what you paid for, avoid this hotel or you will regret it.
First let me say you get what you pay for. So if your standards are not high then you will like it. The first room we tried was on the first floor , very worn out nasty carpet , stain on the couch looked like someone pissed on it, shower handle didn’t work, bed hard as a rock, not good. Talked to the nice ladies at the front desk and they let me check a few rooms till I found one that was decent and had a softer bed, but even this room was a bit run down. Safety latch on the door was broken off, carpet cleanish but worn, daylight under the door, if you decide to stay here book the second or third floor rooms are less abused. Will we stay here again probably not. If I’m be honest they need to tear this place down and start over. Oh and the homeless people in Vegas is out of control. Be aware they are everywhere. Good luck.
Older property. Excellent front desk. Housekeeping not so much. Rooms are dirty (carpets/walls) l. No room service and ice machines don't work. HK staff does not come around regularly, so we have to ASK for fresh linens. No freezer or microwave.
Hot tub wasn't working either.
We came in from Illinois because our son was shot and killed during a home invasion. The rooms advertised are nothing like what they really have. Our first room we noticed both beds sheets were wrinkled and appeared dirty. One of the beds looked like it wasn't made so we pulled the sheet down the rest of the way and there were crumbs in the bed. The front desk gladly moved us to another room but someone called our room seemed upset that we complained about our first room. She actually accused us of lying by telling us she did a walk through and that room was fine and she knows it was fine when we walked in. She hang up on me. So we're in our second room and the mattress is a concave shape. It has a huge dip down the center of the mattress so it's totally useless. The carpet is filthy, stained, and smells musty. The lighting is very dim and somehow made our already low mood even lower. My husband is running water through the coffee maker for the 3rd time because the first 2 times the water came through with things floating in it. I'm going to see if I can get a refund but honestly this seems to be the type of place that doesn't care about their customers. They definitely don't care about their rooms. My husband and I didn't realize when we booked a room here at Arizona Charlie's but this isn't only a low budget hotel but is very un kept and disgusting.
The rooms aren't nice, bedding and pillows weren't that comfortable (and I can sleep on just about anything believe me)
The staff were all great and friendly! The rooms are just run down and in a bad part of Vegas unfortunately
