Came here for a birthday dinner. It wasn't my first time here but I usually have a decent time. The food was pretty good tonight as the steak and scallops didn't disappoint. Our chef and server were courteous and efficient and we enjoyed their service overall.
I went here for my birthday. I hadn't been since my birthday in 2016. It was delicious and a wonderful experience. I had enough food for dinner the next night. Ommmmggg the plum wine is absolutely amazing! I could drink the ENTIRE bottle. ????
Great place to go. Love how you can watch everything being cooked in front of you. A little on the pricey side, but the food is worth it. Plan on at least an hour to an hour and a half to eat. You do share the grill/table area with others unless you have a big party like 9 people. The atmosphere is nice and the service is great. Our server was very attentive. I highly recommend them and the steak and definitely the shrimp.
The food was good. Pretty standard. I didn't care for the fact that they cut the shrimp in half and then split that amongst the table. I ordered steak and shrimp with additional scallops, I would've liked to get my shrimp, whole. The scallops seemed pretty cut as well. Very thin. Maybe I'm just spoiled from living in Myrtle Beach but I've never seen such thin scallops before. The drinks took over 10 min to get to the table (including water). They also (on the menu) list additional sauces at a cost! I assume (with most other Japanese steakhouses I've been to) as much as I'm spending on the meal, it would be nice to not be charged additionally if I want more sauce than is given. With those disappointing things listed...the food was good. Scallops were cooked to perfection and so flavorful! The soup was surprisingly excellent for a house clear broth soup.
The food was good. The service was good. But I miss the days when the Chefs could do some of the tricks.
Haven't been in about 10 years but no reason for that. It's exactly as I remember. Food was good. Service was good. Atmosphere was good. The places got age on it but it's still clean and well run. Didn't have any problems at all. Got the steak and shrimp aioli which was good and I didn't know that they had lobster but one of the other people at our table got that gargantuan portions at an appropriate price. They could probably charge us just a little bit less if they gave a little bit less but then people would probably complain. Had absolutely no problems at all. Quite enjoyed it again
Arigato’s was a great experience for our party of 10+ people, ranging from ages 1 yrs old and older. The kids enjoyed the food, and always enjoyed the show. I do think other Japanese steak houses provide more of a show, but this has a better food presentation. For each meat you select, the cook it with a paired vegetable and the presentation is much more than just piled meat on your rice.
No sushi available. Food was bland, not enough seasoning with the rice, vegetables were meh.
Based on how much sauce they give you, it seems they expect you to cover it with sauce to add flavor.
The steak I had WAS cooked perfectly rare, or they'd be getting a 1 on food.
The waiter was great.
The Hibachi guy was good.
Had to hunt down chopsticks, which was odd.
Based on the price of everything, I wouldn't ever bother coming back, I've had better for much less.
