Came in a few months ago for a dislocated shoulder. After waiting 13 hours to see someone, I was told I was faking it and the doctor decided to “prove it” by grabbing my arm without my consent and twisting it. After I yelled in pain, she told me a person who dislocates their shoulder cannot put it back in themselves. She also told me to never wear a sling. All of this is bad advice and I’m lucky that I know better from 5 prior dislocations (I received care elsewhere). I disregarded her advice and got a second opinion. Long story short, my joint is deformed from dislocating it and all my ligaments are torn which needs surgical repair. Don’t go here unless you’re dying. The doctor here also called me the wrong name, clearly didn’t look at my chart. If they did, they would’ve seen my history of prior dislocations.
Terrible and awful experience. Deaf individuals have no access in this environment. The staff have no knowledge of the VRI system and refuse to provide a in person ASL interpreter . the patient had to wait over 13 hours without communication access. The staff and admin need to be fully trained to deal with people with disabilities. Frustrating and really disappointing to see.
I am probably going to lose my right foot
Because of the inattentive care you are given
Have bone seen through bottom of foot
Çause of ulcer onbottom of foot
I'm a Diabetic which makes this situation
Somewhat a priority
Hospital staff just blew me off like I was bothering them
Guess when I lose my foot and I sue for
Hostility, insufficiency, not checking my blood sugar, and total hostility to me a PT
Maybe just Maybe I can help others get way better care for pts.
If I win, most good lawyers can use my case to punish the inconsiderate rude caregivers that could cost you your life
Till we meet again on the other side be smart go to Nazareth HOSP for the care and treatment you need
DONT EVER GO TO JEFFERSON TORRESDALE E/R UNLESS YOU WANT TO DIE
HORRIBLE JUST HORRIBLE
I’m normally not one to put a review that attitudes is so nasty in here. They don’t move fast at all the nurses is on the floor just chatting it up why it’s 30+ people in here
It must of been my lucky day when I came here during the middle of the week on a Wednesday because there was not a single person waiting in the emergency area. I was processed through security sign in EKGed Xrayed and taken to a room in less than twenty minutes. A miracle in itself!! Everyone was professional pleasant and efficient. My room was clean my nurse was very good and I was in a room in about two and a half hours. The doctor came in and saw me within an hour. I feel very fortunate about my experience here!!
Baddest emergency room I ever see in the world. They might be not getting paid for what they doing that's why they don't care about patients ????. I been setting from 4pm to 12pm without seeing and I left. they select the people they want. Shame on them. Very unprofessional service
THE WORST ER EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD IN MY LIFE! Don't believe the scattered fake positive reviews written by their friends. I first saw the very low rating online and thought, "We have a very serious problem, nah - that can't POSSIBLY affect us". How wrong I was!!! They were VERY quick in grabbing insurance information, they seemed to be in a rush to secure that sweet $$$ minutes after we walked in the door, but once that was done, WE WERE ON OUR OWN! Literally! There were people around us in serious pain and discomfort, one guy looked like he dislodged the bone in his shoulder and was in obvious agony... he had no shirt. No one paid any attention to him for hours in that waiting room (which was FREEZING, by the way)! I felt bad for him. Another guy was on the precipice of vomiting and could barely move. No one cares! Hell knows what the others were experiencing. Perhaps shooting blood on the nurses would expedite entry? I really don't know. After 4 hours of tortured waiting and having no idea what was going on, I approached the front desk and asked very politely how long we may need to wait to get results of a simple X-Ray. The lady at the front desk seemed irritated that I ask any question and said she wouldn't know, she doesn't work in the X-Ray department! No apology, nothing! Basically: "get back in your seat and continue waiting forever!"
Here is an idea - if you have NO STAFF, put a sign on the front door: HOSPITAL CLOSED, STAFF UNAVAILABLE. Or if your one doctor is out playing golf, announce it over the loudspeaker. Respect peoples time and health. Also: let's see how SLOW and CARELESS you operate if you only get paid AFTER you service your "patients", like in a restaurant.
THIS PLACE SHOULD BE PERMANENTLY CLOSED AND/OR ALL MANAGEMENT FIRED - IMMEDIATELY!
My husband came in for palpations. He got an xray and blood work and then had to sit for hours after. No one come out from the reception desk to even check on the patients. Some people have been here all day. We got here at 8pm and are still here at 11:27pm. This is the worst ER in the northeast. They need new management and a caring staff. I will never come here again!
