ARGONAUT HOTEL is the BEST Hotel in San Francisco!
An amazing location, and an amazing decoration and theme.|It is all about nautical. |Personally, I loved the theme( as a sailor) yet I think the price for the room and what you get could be adjusted . Our room was large beautiful bay view king size bed . |Happened to have a sofa as well. Structuring the furniture was interesting but not functioning . You could watch TV only from the sofa not from bed .|EVERYTHING in the room is for a pay. Not even complimentary waters. If you are vegan or vegetarian you have nothing to eat at their restaurant. Bathroom could use an upgrade from the motel like bathroom to a more modern large walk in shower.
We booked a City View Suite, which vary in size from approximately 600-900 square feet. We requested that we be assigned a corner; the corner suites are larger than the non-corner suites.
The room was spacious and beautifully-appointed in a nautical theme. Sliding wood doors separate the bedroom from the living area and from the bathroom, which had a deep massage tub and a standalone shower. A door separates the main bathroom area from the toilet, which further enhances privacy.
There are two large flat-screen TVs and a formal dining room table and chairs. A hideaway bed couch and two large chairs occupy the living space, along with two smaller tables. The room also has a mini-fridge that contains beverages for purchase if one is so inclined. A small safe sits in the coat closet in the main space, while the bedroom also contains another closet.
Housekeeping service provided by Eva was exceptional, and I want to also single out Josh, Karina, and Brian at the Blue Mermaid for providing service that was above and beyond. The front desk staff was also friendly and helpful.
The location at the end of Fisherman’s Wharf near Ghirardelli Square and across from the National Maritime Historical Park was optimal. We had stayed near Union Square and/or Market Street and Nob Hill on previous visits but we found this location to be the best and most convenient overall.
Nicely situated within the Fisherman’s Wharf complex. After a very long flight we appreciated our room being ready three hours ahead of check-in. Hotel was well appointed including the gym. Standard but comfortable room. Friendly and accommodating staff. Blue mermaid restaurant was, in our view, one of the better eateries in the area and reasonably priced. We dined there more than once. Would be happy to recommend this hotel.
The hotel is perfectly placed in Fisherman's Wharf, right between Ghirardhelli and Pier 39. The location is quiet also. The rooms are spacious and tidy, and the decor fits well with the nautical feel of Frisco bay.||The staff were amazing and attentive.||We ate at the Blue Mermaid for breakfast, and used the $15 discount provided by the hotel. Even with this discount, the food was slightly on the pricier side, but the food was tasty.||Overall, I would definitely recommend.

Beautiful hotel within walking distance of Fisherman's wharf.
We requested an interconnecting room about 2 days before our arrival and it was provided.
Staff were very helpful from reception to the doorman.
The daily bottles of water came in handy on warm September afternoons.
The lobby is a wonderful spot to hang out and people watch. Never seem overly busy.
Would recommend to family and if we're in San Francisco again, we would stay here again.
Great location, lovely unique hotel and friendly staff! Loved the hotel and the nautical theme. Staff were helpful and attentive. After travelling around the US, I love that a coffee machine is provided in the rooms! Can’t fault the hotel at all.
